Christmas Baking

Oh nearly forgot - have done some baking too - for the first time in over 10 years - they weren't my best I admit but they were still so much nicer than the shop bought ones :)

And what's a mince pie without a little icing-sugar??? lol, unfortunately I can't even say that I did this by accident, I love icing sugar on mincepies - mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Right that really is me...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Uh-oh... The BIG 3-0....

Back again as promised, are you proud of me for not getting distracted in those few mins between posts lol.

Anyways a break from the Christmas cards as one of my friends had a big birthday - yep she turned 30 (obviously when I get there next year it won't be a big birthday - though I think I will be having a 20-10th birthday instead lol. In my head I don't think I've even got to 20 yet lol. Anyways I used the mo manning image perfect for big birthdays with the message inside reading - 'it's no good sulking' lol. I then used the balloon from LCI Magnum Add-ons set and the masking technique to add some balloons to the image. Lots of glitter too - well it is one of my cards lol. The colours were picked by Ian cos Sarah is from Norwich - hope she likes it :)

Supplies: 'Alissa' Paper by Bo Bunny, 'Jill is Two' Stamp by Mo Manning, 'Magnum Add-ons' Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Ribbon from Stash, Yellow Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers, Gems

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge...

Right think that's me done for now... off to get my list done and then have a go at my picture frame, though just been watching Kirstie's Homemade Christmas and want to do some embroidery lol (I don't know why cos I've got a cross-stitch that I started about 15 years ago and still haven't finished it lol. Ah well I'm sure I'll get it done eventually lol.

And incase I'm not back on here before the big day, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas XOX

Mum - Look Away Now!!!

Back again, a bit later than planned but hey it's still December and still this year so I'm doing better than recently lol. But on the plus side I have passed my exams - 2 modules down, 3 to go lol :) so happy :)

Anyways have been busy this week been getting my family's Christmas cards finished and have been getting a picture frame done for my room featuring some of my holiday pictures - just can't decide how to 'scrapbook' the 3rd space in the frame .... hmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.... lol. Might have to have a go after I've posted this and written my shopping list for tomorrow.

Anyways onto Christmas cards, and my first challenges in ages so have picked some easy ones lol. Anyways this is my Mum's card off me - I LOVE this image, really is one of my faves cos it's just so typical of me and my brother when we were little, and we've got countless videos and photos to show it - just need to subsitute the snow for the sea (or river or lake) and the sledge for a rubber dingy lol.

I added lots of glitter for the snow and glossy accents for the wellies - I love the glossy wellies my fave bit :)

Supplies: Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Copics, Promarkers, Glossy Accents, Papers from Stash, Felt Snowflake off an old Christmas Card, Ribbon from Stash, Buttons from Stash, Red Ink Pad

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge 50 - Bingo (Felt (the snowflake), Spots (the ribbon and dots on the paper) & Buttons (the buttons lol)

ABC Challenge - F is for Frosty

Right I will be back in a few mins with another card to post... XOX

Busy Busy Busy

Wow time flies doesn't it, can't believe it's Christmas Day this time next week. Not had much time to post cos of exams and then more exams a few weeks later - not good but atleast they're all over with and don't think got anymore till March :) wooop woop.

Anyway did manage to squeeze in abit of Scrapbooking :) yay since still got hundreds of Australia trip pictures to scrap. Anyway this one is a bit of a simple layout - think the photos needed the simple background. They were taken at Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island - never seen water so clear or sand as fine and white, really was stunning. The background is covered with shimmer spray - I then added some blue and clear gemsm and then added some ribbons and a bottle of sand :)

Supplies: Letter Stickers by Doodlebug, Cardstock by Doodlebug, Shimmer Spray, Gems, Ribbon, Mini Bottle

Right that's it from me now, I'll try my best to be back on before Christmas - need to get the Christmas done - been so busy with exams and been ill too :S but atleast all my shopping and most of my wrapping is done :) yay :) can't wait :) so can't wait for Christmas :) XOX

D for Dazzle... and 2 posts in one day!!!!

Unfortunately the photos haven't come out very well - light is awful today. This is my entry for the D for Dazzle challenge on The ABC Challenge blog. The backing velum is covered in silver writing, and I went a bit mad with the glitter in the image - all the flowers and heards and most of the wedding dress are covered, I then inked a paper flower with some shimmery ink and added the gem to the centre. It really is very sparkly in real life lol.

And a close-up, but unfortunately I just can't seem to get the sparkle to show

Supplies: 'I do' Stamp by Lili of the Valley, Flower by Prima, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Pink Shimmer Ink Pad, Printed Vellum, Pink Ribbon, White Card, Gem, Copics, Promarkers

I would like to enter this in the D for Dazzle Challenge - The ABC Challenge

Hope you like it and hopefully more tomorrow XOX

Double the Number of Posts

Yes you are seeing it - another post this month - twice as many as last month - which is really bad of me - must try and post more often. Although I am going to let myself off this month as I've had some exams, and now I'm tucked up in bed with a sore throat and earache.

Anyways won't be a long post as I'm busy scanning a box of photos that I've borrowed from my nanna, got loads and loads of them - made up cos we didn't really have many from my dad's side of the family. Looking forward to getting them scanned so can scrapbook them :)

Anyways I have managed to find a bit of time to get some scrapbooking done, getting there with my Australia photos - the album might even be finished this time next year lol. So here is one of the pages. Me and my mate at Melbourne Zoo - seeing a koala for the first time :) Most of the materials were from my Scrapagogo Kit from a few months ago and hadn't used everything up.

Supplies: 'Stella & Rose - Gertie' Papers by My Mind's Eye, Curly-Q Rub-ons by Flair Designs, Fabric Bunting and Twine from Scrapagogo Kit, White Card, Black Ink Pad

Hope you like it :) XOX

New Arrivals and I'm back again - hopefully properly this time (on exploer this time)

Hi, I'm back AGAIN, getting really fed up of computers, browsers and the internet - can't seem to get all 3 of them to work at the same time - but have done some messing round and have got blogger working again on explorer so fingers crossed - really hope i've no just jinxed it lol.

Got a few cards to get done this week - in between revision - first exam on monday eeeeeeeeek terrified doesn't even come close.

But for now here's a card that I made for my friends who had a little girl at the end of August.

Double-fold to add the date etc :) and to try and show off the glittery vellum but it didn't really work - looks really pretty and sparkly in real life

Supplies: Stamp by Lili of the Valley, Vellum by Papermania, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug. Also Copics, Promarkers, Pink Ribbon, Pink Ink Pad

And here she is having a cuddle from Auntie Helen

Right off to get a million things done before college tonight, then revision and cards start tomorrow. XOX

Holidays

Finally got round to posting - still having computer problems have reinstalled everything and have switched and reinstalled browser and it still seems to be very hit and miss when it comes to blogger grrrrrrr. Anyways not really had much time to get on here the last few weeks anyway, as I've started my college course - doing my AAT at night school so that keeps me busy 2 nights a week. Also been away to Turkey for a week - it was lovely so nice to get away and relax in the sun.

It was so lovely, had a view of the mountains from our room.

I want a pool at home (well a pool and nice sunny weather lol)

And a picture of us :)

Anyways I've managed to get a few projects done, still loads to do but finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with it all. Anyways this is one of my first projects, it's a mini album for my friend for her wedding, it's been finished for weeks but I've still not remembered to get it in the post doh - brain like a seive at the moment.

I kept the colours and embellishments the same all the way through so it didn't get too busy, just lots and lots of gems, red daisies and red ribbon. Here are a couple of the pages

I would like to enter this project in the ABC Challenge - A for Anything Goes

Right well that's me for now, really hoping that this will post and I'll be able to catch up on some of the posts - fingers crossed lol XOX

Help.....

Just a very quick post (have hijacked ian's iPad while he's off killing things on a computer game) and anyway yep can't work out the photos and stuff on here so will try and do a proper post soon.

Anyways i've just been sorting through craft stuff and scrapbook albums and i've got a load of pages featuring an ex-friend of mine and her daughter and I don't know what to do with them as it seems a shame to just bin them given the hours I spent on them but equally I don't want her in my albums... Anyone got any ideas???

Quickie

Just a quick post, had a busy weekend of card making but can't post those cards yet because I need to find my camera to take pictures - but I've made an engagement card for 2 of our friends (Matt FINALLY proposed to Emma - so congratulations to them), I've also made a get better soon card for Neil, who had his leg broken days before their first baby was due, and a New Baby card for Neil and Steph who had a little girl this morning. So congratulations (and get well soon) to them all - I'll get their cards on this week :)

Anyways this is a birthday card for one of the blokes that works with Ian, it's a digi stamp I got free from Bugaboo, but it had to be adapted to include Phil's tash lol.

Supplies: Digi Stamp by Bugaboo, Papers by Prima, Ribbon by KI Memories, Snow Writer, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Gems, Glossy Accents, Ink Pad, Copics and Promarkers

Thank you for all the welcome back messages - it's lovely to be back on here, showing off the crafty stuff I've been up to :) XOX

PS does anyone know of any scrapbook challenges blogs? have just been picking my own challenges out - which is cheating a bit cos I can pick them with my own photos in mind lol XOX

Favourite Stamp

Ooops wasn't meant to take me this long to do another post, I'm not working at the moment and still can't seem to find time to do anything lol, shouldn't complain really but the job hunting is really getting me down at the moment especially as the longer it takes to find something the longer it'll be before we can get a house, but any how am sure the right job is out there somewhere... lol.

Anyways I've managed to get a few cards done the last few weeks and have also been getting stuck into my scrapbook - still got thousands of australia pictures to scrap so I'm starting with them (spent about 4 hours sorting them into order last night (yawn) lol. But anyway onto today's card - this was for one of Ian's mate's birthdays he's in the police and think he was made up with the image - it's one of my favourites and the challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog is to use your favourite stamp :)

Supplies: Stamp and Sentiment Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Little Boy' Paper by Echo Park, Nail Heads by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Card by DCWV, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Ink Pads, Copics, Promarkers, Glossy Accents, Gems

Right I'm off to get all my scrapbook stuff out... wish me luck xox

Wednesday, 3 August 2011

And at Long-last a post :)

Wow I can't believe it's been so long, computer problems, then when the computer had had a reinstall it seemed to have taken a dislike to blogger and wouldn't let me do anything, hopefully this is now finally sorted (the photos are on the draft so fingers crossed), then had a mad busy month and a bit in work. Work has finished so I'm back to job hunting but hopefully I'll have time to get some cards and scrapping done too, but I'm also trying to teach myself double entry bookkeeping :S not got my head quite round the basics yet but i'm finding it interesting (yep I'm that sad lol), and trying to get a list together of everything we're going to need for our first house so I can get as much together before we move and have no money lol. I think that's all I'm up to at the moment lol.

Anyways I've got a few cards and things to post that I've done the last few weeks so I'll be posting them as and when I can, first up is my entry in the Ladybug Crafts Ink July Challenge, which Kerry kindly posted on the site for me. This was Kate's 30th Card, she is a marine biologist (I think lol) unfortunately I didn't have any dolphin stamps and couldn't find any that I liked but then I remembered Mermaid Nikki by Ladybug Crafts Ink. She was pertfect and fitted into the marine theme that I wanted.

I coloured Nikki and the numbers up with my promarkers and copics, added about a ton of glitter (doodlebug sugar-coating) then added 2 layers of glossy accents (the first layer still looked really bumpy cos of the glitter). The seaweed was cut out from coordinates card and then decorated with glitter and glossy accents, based on a scrapbook page I made years ago :)

I also decided to make a canvas to go with the card, but didn't have a picture to go in it so decided to make a picture frame instead. I added a little drawing to fill in the gap where the photo will go so it looked a bit better when I sent it. I painted the canvas with acrylic paint (I had a bit of a mix up with the paint and added a load of pearly pain by mistake, but it added a nice pearly sheen to the canvas - I painted it in wavy lines so in reallife there's a wavy pattern on it). I added more seaweed to match the card.

I added glitter and glossy accents to the seaweed and added more glossy accents and gems to the canvas. I also stamped an extra couple of fish from the mermaid stamp and cut them out to add to the canvas. I added another fish to the seaweed.

Supplies: 'Mermaid Nikki' and Sentimental Numbers Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Coordinates Card, Glossy Accents, Doodlebug Sugar-Coating, Gems, Glimmer mist, Acrylic Paints

Right I think that's enough waffle for me - don't want to over-do it on my first day back lol XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - D for Dogs

Wow can't believe that it's Friday already (probably because I'm writing this on Tuesday evening lol) as I'll be down in Norwich for my friend's wedding on Friday). This is just going to be a short post as I really need to get to bed as I only got 3 hours sleep last night.

This weeks challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is D for Dogs - really easy one (don't forget anything goes not just cards) and it was the perfect excuse for me to get my Buttercup stamp out - just love the expression on her face. And an orange bow for her too - mmmmmm pink and orange - love that colour combo :)

Supplies: 'Cross-Eyed Buttercup' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers by Basic Grey, Gem by Doodlebug, Flowers by Prima
Extras: White Card, Ribbon from Stash, Orange Ink Pad, Copics

Don't forget to head on over to the challenge blog to check out what the rest of the design team have been up to, and hope you can join us - right I'm off back to writing my list of what need to take XOX

Jubilee Day

Another scrapbook page, I've been on a bit of a roll with them and makes a nice change swapping between cards and scrapbooking and it means I'm finally getting some boxes of photos sorted. So anyway this will just be a quick post cos I think my hair dye has only got another 10 mins to go and I need to suss out what is wrong with Blogger that it won't let me do my design team comments :S fingers crossed can get it working again.

So anyway this is me last July at the fair after the Jubilee in Buckley by Ian's (as you can see from the umbrellas in the background it was a lovely typical July Summer's Day). I'm really pleased with the layout cos it's the first I've done in a long while with no plan at all I just decided on things a bit at a time and stuck it down before moving on to the next bit. Only thing I wish I did was stick the bunting a bit higher up but hey-ho lol. Atleast there's lots of sparkle :)

And a close up of the flowers, love the pink background showing through - reminds me of a field full of flowers

Some of the fab felt from Kerry - sooooooo easy to cut even by hand :)

And of course it wouldn't be a proper scrapbook page without a bit of sparkle

Supplies: Letter Stickers by Studio Calico, Rolled Flower Die by Die-namics, Card by Papermania, 'Hey Birdie!' Papers by Kaisercraft, Double Dot Ribbon by Bo Bunny, Flowers by Prima & Petaloo, Felt by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Epoxy Dot by Ladybug Crafts Ink
Extras: Gems, Black Ink Pad, Black Paint Marker

Phew think that's everything lol.

I would like to enter this layout in the following challenge...

Right off to see if the dye has done it's job - fingers crossed cos I'm off to a wedding down in Norwich on Friday lol XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - C for CAS

That time of the week again, time for another challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog - this week is C for CAS (Clean and Simple fortunately this is a style I use quite a lot so it wasn't quite as scary as some of the other challenges have been lol. But it's good to try new things too, and it's been good for giving me a kick start back into scrapbooking.

So anyway here is my Clean and Simple layout, it is based on the card that is on the right side bar. I had used some of the pictures of last year's Valentine's Flowers for the card and loved the layout so much I decided to try it for a full scrapbook page - keeping with the theme I used the photos of this year's Valentine's Flowers :) I have to say I love the way it's turned out. Shows the flowers off so much better than the original uncut-down photos.

I added some wording to the heart as a bit of journalling

Supplies: Card, Sugar-Coated Card & Rub-ons by Doodlebug, Purple Ink Pad

Right day off for me now...

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - B for Brads and Bling

Sorry for the delay - Blogger wasn't working last night when I tried to post last night and has been playing up today (will try and swap for a better pic later but this one will do for now). It's been a busy week, I've had an interview, been to the theatre (to see mamma mia - it was fab) been to the Trafford Centre and bought all kinds, and been for a really yummy meal and had a catch up with my cousin's wife, who I used to work with.

Anyways it's Friday AGAIN lol can't believe how quick the week has gone. And now it's time for another challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog - this week it's B for Brads and Bling - perfect excuse for lots of glitter and sparkle :) yay.

Supplies: 'Bear Blank' Stamp by Penny Black, Card by DCWV, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Mini Gem Brads, Promarkers, Copics, White Card, Patterned Paper from Stash

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - Z for Zoo Animals

Yay another long weekend :) I definitely think we need more 4 day weekends lol. Anyways today is Friday and that means that it's time for another challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog, this week is Z for Zoo Animals. I had a bit of a panic on that one cos I haven't got that many stamps with zoo animals on - more dogs and cats and don't really think they'd count lol. So I decided on a scrapbook page, I was going to scrap some of the pictures from our trip to Chester Zoo last year but then I was flicking through one of my albums and came across this picture and I really wasn't happy with the layout so I decided to give it another go...

I'd been saving a piece of red dotty paper so I needed to make sure that I got the page right and this was one of my favourite pictures from the trip so lots of pressure lol. But really really pleased with how it's turned out, love the way the colours have turned out - bit different to my usual colour scheme. I now just need to do the other half of the double page (along with about another thousand Australia pictures lol)

Some journalling - one of my favourite techniques putting it on strips meaning that when I make mistakes I only wreck one little bit instead of having to start again from scratch :) And a close-up of the red dotty paper :) love it - really should find a red dotty background for my blog lol

Really like the aqua and red colour combo, love the flowers using the fabric petaloo flowers with the red paper prima one in the centre :)

Supplies: Paper, Card, Alpha Stickers all from January Scrapagogo Set (sorry can't find the list of what's in it and everything is piled ontop of the box now lol), Flowers by Petaloo and Prima, 'Dutch Girl' Paper by Cosmo Cricket, Brackets by Cosmo Cricket, Rub-ons by 7Gypsies
Extras: Gems, Black Ink Pad

Don't forget to head on over to the Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team have been up to (I will add their links in the sidebar once I can work out how to fix something to do with Java lol) And sorry the pictures aren't so good - not got photo editing program back after reinstall XOX

Think I should have paid more attention in Art

Wow, been a long week lol (yep I'm saying that when am 2 days into a 3 day week (but I work in payroll and it's the busiest time of the month lol) Anyways this is just a quick post cos I've still got to pack my bag for the weekend and sort out the bits and pieces to get my auntie's card done while I'm at Ian's.

Anyways thought I'd try something new with today's card - a card with no stamped image!!! I know an idea popped into my head to do a support card with a bra on cos I love the saying that a bra is like a good friend...always offers support, makes you look great & is always close to your heart. I didn't have a bra stamp so knew I had to draw it myself, but drew it straight onto the patterned paper to give the paper piecing effect and then added a bit of glitter to the trim. Not bad since I don't think I've drawn anything since I left school lol.

Supplies: 'Quite Contrary' Papers by My Mind's Eye, Ribbon by Anna Griffin, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Rub-ons by 7Gypsies
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Fine Liner

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge...

Right I'm off to do a quick pre-post for my design team project for this week - really liked this one :) hehe. But I'm in work all day tomorrow - why o why did I not book these three days off - then off over to Ian's so thought best get organised. Anyways I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and has a great long weekend... XOX

PS sorry for the rubbish photos no photo editing programs on the computer after a reinstall x

Alphabet Challenge DT - Y for Yellow :)

Hello!!!! and yep it's finally Friday - and even better a Friday off work :) and of course Friday means that it's time for the new challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog, this week is Y for Yellow. Now this really isn't my favourite colour by a long-shot lol, but with all the nice weather we've been having in the UK the yellow seemed to fit in as a nice happy spring colour. So here is my Nanna's Birthday Card - hope she likes it :)

Supplies: Stamp by Penny Black, Papers by Helz Cuppleditch, Card by DCWV, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Yellow Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers, Glossy Accents, Flowers from Stash, Brad from Stash, Ribbon from Stash

Right I'm off to enjoy the long weekend, hopefully going to get another scrapbook page done - really need to be focussing on that at the moment as the photos in the box are starting to get a bit bashed which isn't sooooo good - ah well you never know I might win the Euromillions tonight and have enough money for my very own craft room lol. Getting a Head Start

Hello, how nice have the last 2 weekends been!?! Makes such a nice change to have some good weather at the weekend instead of when I'm stuck in work lol. Missed most of last weekend in bed with a migraine but was out yesterday as my Dad was moving his boat down from up by widnes to Liverpool and he wanted us to take pictures. So we went up to take pictures of them going through the lock onto the river, then we headed to Riverside Drive and sat by the river and waited for them to come past, then went and met them at the marina. Was such a nice day for it.

Anyways got chance to get a couple of cards done today, so here is the first one (the second is my design team card for this week so you'll have to wait for Friday for that one lol) but it means that I've got a couple of the birthday cards for the next few weeks done (still a couple to get done - hopefully will have some time over the next few long weekends). Anyways this card is for my Mum's cousin who is going to be 40 in a few weeks lol. Kerry of Ladybug Crafts Ink had made a card using the numbers sitting on Magnum's hand and it gave me the idea of using them as balloons - I stamped the string and knot of the balloon stamp and then added the numbers and a few fineliner lines. His other hand looked a bit empty so I added the cake - after all what's a birthday without cake lol :)

Supplies: 'Add-on Magnum', 'Magnum Add-ons' & Sentimental Numbers Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers by Slice and Frances Meyer, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Card by DCWV

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - X for Xmas

Well the weather seems to be heading back to the winter so this weeks challenge over at Alphabet Design Blog is probably quite in keeping lol. This week's challenge is X for Xmas - so you've got a chance to make a headstart on your Christmas cards. Or like me you could try and catch up with scrapbooking some old Christmas pictures, but remember anything goes it doesn't just have to be cards and scrapbooking.

These photos are at Haworth Train station, in December 1996 and 1997 When we were little we used to go up with our neighbours and their friends for the Santa Special train ride on the steam train - all the kids used to get presents and the parents would get a mince pie. Then we'd walk up the street (it was the one used in a bread advert with the kid pushing the bike up the hill - think it might have been Hovis) and all the shop keepers would be dressed up in Victorian dress. Proper start to Christmas for us.

I used a sketch from the first Page Maps book (I've just bought the second book so have been flicking through that, can't wait to get some more photos out at the weekend and get going on some of the new sketches) anyways I think I've used the sketch a couple of times before but I love how the pages look so different. Instead of the adding journalling on the strips of paper I added the list of everyones names as there were so many lol, so will add the journalling to a second page

Supplies: 'Good Cheer' Papers by Cosmo Cricket, Scalloped Green Card by Papermania
Extras: Glitter, Alpha Stickers, Fineliner, Red Card, Red Ink Pad

Right I'm going to finish now cos I've got an episode of 'Better with You' to watch - really liking it, hope it keeps going, hate when they cancel shows when you just get into them lol. Don't forget to head on over to the challenge blog to check out what the rest of the design team have been up to XOX
PS thank you everyone my head is feeling much better, hate the way migraines like to hang around for days lol XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - W for White (plus one other colour)

I'm so glad that by the time you read this it will be Friday - work has been a nightmare this week and so can't wait for the weekend but yay only one more full week in work and then the bank holidays commence :) and off out for a meal Friday night so got something nice to look forward to

And yes it's time for another challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog this week the challenge is a nice easy one - W for White (plus one other colour) I had a few baby cards to get made as my cousin has just become a Dad for the first time. A little girl (in case you hadn't gathered from all the pink) called Evie :) we went up to see her on Tuesday - she's soooo tiny and sweet :) and Anyway onto the card...

I had made a card a few weeks ago using squares of embossed card to make a patchwork effect. I decided to adapt this and leave gaps to show the white, and got to make use of my new square nesties - REALLY don't know how I survived without them - they make it soooooooo quick and easy :)

Supplies: 'Baby Girl' Stamp by Lili of the Valley, Sentiment Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers by Me and My Big Ideas, Pink Coordinations Card, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Square Nesties
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers

Make sure you head on over to the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team have been up to and also to meet the 2 new design team members. XOX

Finally a challenge card

Yay finally got some cards finished today so can enter some challenges - feels like it's been ages since I've done any. Fortunately there were lots of mother's day challenges and I've been busy making mother's day cards for mine and Ian's mums. This is for Ian's mum (the sentiment was his choice lol) and he coloured the image himself (apparently modelled on one of his t-shirts and trainers lol). I thought since there was nice bright colours on the image I would use these fab prima papers - I love the colours.

And some flowers made using some of the other papers from the collection and my new die that I bought the other day in Manchester and was a bit of a bargain :)

Supplies: 'Guilty Jack' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Paisley Road' Papers by Prima Marketing, Rub-ons by Doodlebug, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Flower Die by Craft Planet
Extras: Gems, White Card, Orange and Brown Ink Pads, Promarkers, Copics, Glossy Accents

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges....

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge 21 - Hand-made Flowers

Sarah Hurley Challenge 36 - Mums the Word

Right I'm off to go and hunt for some antihistamines and then going to catch up on my design team comments - don't seem to have had any spare time at all at the moment. But on the plus got both mother's day cards, and the baby cards, and an engagement card finished today - I KNOW how productive has today been!!!!! lol so anyway best get on XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - V for Vehicles

Ooops I've been naughty and was away last night and forgot to pre-post my design team work for this week. So sorry that it's late but hey better late than never. This week's challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is V for Vehicles, I didn't have any cards to get made (or so I thought at the beginning of the week and then suddenly found lots that needed doing) so I decided to use the chance to get another page of my Australia album finished.

I had bought a scrapagogo kit in January, and it had been sitting there patiently waiting to be used lol. I love the colours and different sort of style to my usual choice of papers. Can't wait to use the rest of the papers and embellishments. The kit also came with some wood veneer stars, these didn't really go so I got my promarkers out and coloured them in - so could match them to the colour scheme and because of the wood finish they have a bit of a shimmer to them.

Supplies: Papers, Card, Ribbon and Stars from January Scrapagogo Kit, License Plates by Karen Foster, Thickers by American Crafts
Extras: Red Ink Pad, Mini Brads

Right tea time and then off to start on the million cards I need to get done this weekend lol, don't forget to head on over to the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the design team have been up to XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - U for Up in the Air

Time still flying by, can you believe next week's challenge will be in April - how scary is that lol. But for now this week's challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog is Up in the Air yep we want to see projects that show anything that goes up in the air... birds.... butterflies... etc

For mine I had to use my superhero chickie stamp that was still waiting to be inked up - love those chickies they're just soooooooo cute lol. So OK chickies aren't normally found up in the air but this one is a superhero so he is lol. I also used stars which are also found up there lol.

I raised the chickie out on a piece of spiral wire so it bobs a bit, The star had a wood finish which didn't really stand out so I cos my copics out and love the effect it gave.

Supplies: 'Superhero Chickie' Stamp by DeNami Design, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Star, Mini Alpha Stickers by My Little Shoebox, Paper by Flair Designs, Card by Americal Crafts, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Promarkers, Copics, Glossy Accents, White Card, Wire, Red Ink Pad

Right well I'm off to bed now (pre-posting as I'll be on the way to Norwich when this (hopefully - my pre-post thing seems to be a bit hit and miss) posts but make sure you head on over to the challenge blog and check out what the rest of the design team have been up to, also there is a design team call on at the moment open till 1st April, especially for people not already on DT's just leave a link to your blog on here XOX

PS sorry things have been a bit mad and I'm a bit behind with my comments on the entries in the challenges - I am away this weekend so I will catch up when I get back XOX
