Amazing Birthday

Wow once again it has been ages since I posted, lots going on.

Firstly here is one of the cards I made for my cousin when she got engaged earlier in the year. I made the envelope from some wrapping paper and then added then gems. The idea from the design came from Pinterest. Slightly addicted to the site - been busy making some covers for my new phone also from the site using scrapbook papers :)

Supplies: Cream card, Black Fineliner, Gems, Kraft Wrapping Paper

It was my birthday almost a month ago now - eeek how scary. Had a lovely time with the family round at the weekend before my birthday then a meal on the day and a trip to the Trafford Centre the day after. And then the week after we went to Florida as one of my presents!!!!  I got to go to Walt Disney World

At Epcot I got to meet Mickey Mouse as well as Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, Stitch, Chip'n'dale, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Can't believe I actually got to go there, didn't think I'd ever get to go.

We did really well for timing when we got to the Magic Kingdom, got to see the street party, one of the shows, the main parade, The Fireworks and the Electrical Parade. Got to see the castle too...

Wishes Fireworks

And got to go to Islands of Adventure to Harry Potter World, which was amazing the ride was fab and the castle and village are just fab. All the details and everything.

Got to get a couple of cards made this week so I should have something new to show you on the next post. XOX

Down on the Farm

I was made up when I saw the title of the challenge on the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog...
ON THE FARM
We used to go away in our caravan for lots of weekends away when I was younger and one of my friends from uni also lived on a farm so I've got albums full of farm pictures, but I had to use these pictures of triplet lambs that needed to be bottle fed, they were named Miss Piggy, Kermit and Gonzo - AKA the Muppets. I had rather a lot of close up pictures of them so had to find a way of getting lots of them on a layout without having pages and pages to do, then I noticed my square punch - not used that in a while but i will def be coming out again soon to do a similar layout.

Supplies: Cardstock by Doodlebug, Pink Glitter Cardstock from The Paper Shop, Rub-ons by Doodlebug

I would like to enter this layout in the following challenge

Sorry but that's not the last of me for today...XOX

Iron Men

Just realised that I haven't posted in a while - silly exams and revision getting in the way lol - so thought it was about time to get another post on - another scrapbook page this time cos the pictures of the cards that I've done are still on the camera. This page shows the photos from the first time I took Ian to Crosby Beach to meet the Iron Men. I love the way the rusty colour of the statues goes with the colour of the card :)

Supplies: Scrapagogo April 2012 Kit, Brown Ink Pad, White Ink Pad, Thickers

And here's a couple of pictures from the beach yesterday, as you can see it was very windy (and freezing cold), but still got some pretty pictures.

Right that's it from me for now, a load of photos have just arrived so got to sort them and pick out the ones for the wedding mini-album for our friends XOX

To the one I Love...

Happy Weekend :) had quite a productive day and managed to get the first coat of paint on the canvas for my nanna and grandad - so just need to decide what I'm actually going to do with it, I think I'm going to order some new papers and get my rolled flower die out.

Anyways here are this year's Anniversary flowers, I'm glad I took pictures on the first day cos I think I managed to kill them but I'm not exactly sure how lol. And then we had a lovely meal at Gusto - Garlic Pizza Bread, Tiger Prawns in Creamy Tomato and Garlic Sauce, Seabass cooked with lemon and herbs and in Sea Salt with Garlic Potatoes all followed up with a Nutella and Mascaponie Calzone mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm want it all again lol.

I was abandoned yesterday cos Ian and his mate went up to Manchester to see the wrestling (yes dear lol) so I went round to Emma's so had a night of pizza and dough balls and episodes of 'Don't Tell the Bride' (Emma is getting married next year).

And today I managed to get a couple of scrapbook pages planned - will have to stick them all together tomorrow or monday, really need to start going on my scrapbooking and my resolution to try and use up my paper scraps - I've got several boxes full and I won't have much storage once I have a job and we can get a house. So anyway I managed to get Ian's Valentine's Card finished - and unfortunately I'm safe sharing it this early cos he's already seen it - that'll teach me not to put it away straight away lol. Something different for me cos there's no stamped image - Ian said he likes it though, but I'm not so sure lol

And a close up of the 3d heart - my first attempt and I think there's going to be a few more appearances on cards and pages.

Supplies: 'Crazy Love' Paper by Bo Bunny, Mini-Ticket Die by Whimsey, Love Mini Ticket Stamps by Whimsey, Heart Embossing Folder, Heart Die by X-Cut, Heart Pin, Red Card, White Card, Red Ribbon, Red Ink Pad, Shimmer Chalks by Pebbles Inc

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

Allsorts Challenge Blog - One or More Hearts

Anything Goes Challenge 59 - To the One I Love

The Pink Elephant Challenge 132 - Photo Inspiration

Right off to get some tea and then thinking a film before bed. Tomorrow I best get back on the wii cos I haven't been on it for a few days because I've been over at Ian's, and then try and get some scrapbooking done in the afternoon. XOX

Holidays

Finally got round to posting - still having computer problems have reinstalled everything and have switched and reinstalled browser and it still seems to be very hit and miss when it comes to blogger grrrrrrr. Anyways not really had much time to get on here the last few weeks anyway, as I've started my college course - doing my AAT at night school so that keeps me busy 2 nights a week. Also been away to Turkey for a week - it was lovely so nice to get away and relax in the sun.

It was so lovely, had a view of the mountains from our room.

I want a pool at home (well a pool and nice sunny weather lol)

And a picture of us :)

Anyways I've managed to get a few projects done, still loads to do but finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with it all. Anyways this is one of my first projects, it's a mini album for my friend for her wedding, it's been finished for weeks but I've still not remembered to get it in the post doh - brain like a seive at the moment.

I kept the colours and embellishments the same all the way through so it didn't get too busy, just lots and lots of gems, red daisies and red ribbon. Here are a couple of the pages

I would like to enter this project in the ABC Challenge - A for Anything Goes

Right well that's me for now, really hoping that this will post and I'll be able to catch up on some of the posts - fingers crossed lol XOX

Jubilee Day

Another scrapbook page, I've been on a bit of a roll with them and makes a nice change swapping between cards and scrapbooking and it means I'm finally getting some boxes of photos sorted. So anyway this will just be a quick post cos I think my hair dye has only got another 10 mins to go and I need to suss out what is wrong with Blogger that it won't let me do my design team comments :S fingers crossed can get it working again.

So anyway this is me last July at the fair after the Jubilee in Buckley by Ian's (as you can see from the umbrellas in the background it was a lovely typical July Summer's Day). I'm really pleased with the layout cos it's the first I've done in a long while with no plan at all I just decided on things a bit at a time and stuck it down before moving on to the next bit. Only thing I wish I did was stick the bunting a bit higher up but hey-ho lol. Atleast there's lots of sparkle :)

And a close up of the flowers, love the pink background showing through - reminds me of a field full of flowers

Some of the fab felt from Kerry - sooooooo easy to cut even by hand :)

And of course it wouldn't be a proper scrapbook page without a bit of sparkle

Supplies: Letter Stickers by Studio Calico, Rolled Flower Die by Die-namics, Card by Papermania, 'Hey Birdie!' Papers by Kaisercraft, Double Dot Ribbon by Bo Bunny, Flowers by Prima & Petaloo, Felt by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Epoxy Dot by Ladybug Crafts Ink
Extras: Gems, Black Ink Pad, Black Paint Marker

Phew think that's everything lol.

I would like to enter this layout in the following challenge...

Right off to see if the dye has done it's job - fingers crossed cos I'm off to a wedding down in Norwich on Friday lol XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - R for Ribbon

Yes that time of the week again - and March already can't believe how quick the year is going.

Well this week's challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is R for Ribbons!!!! I think this has been my favourite challenge so far cos I LOVE ribbon - I have a box full of ribbon and try and keep some of my favourites lol. I knew straight away I wanted to use lots of ribbons, mainly because it meant I wouldn't have to chose between them all.

I still had some spare canvases out, and decided to have a go at changing the canvas into a picture frame - it was so easy, just cut a cross (corner to corner) in the centre and I then folded it over and stuck it down out on the back leaving thecentre open.

I painted the canvas and then wrapped ribbons round the sides, added the photo to the centre and some card to cover the messy ends on the back. I'm so pleased with it - my favourite colours of pinks and purples and some of my favourite ribbons. Not sure if it might be missing some gems but I'm going to leave it as it is now.

Supplies: Canvas, Ribbons from Stash, Purple Acrylic Paint

Head over to the challenge blog to check out what the rest of the design team have been up to. Can't wait to see what you make XOX

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - Q for Quotes

Yay I finally got round to making something other than a card for my DT project yay

This week's challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is Q for Quotes I knew straight away that I wanted to use my 'Friendly Advice' Stamps - I love this quote - that comes from Ian Hobson Age 5 lol. And this is definitely right about Ian lol and I got to make a canvas using one of my favourite pictures.

I started by painting the canvas pale pink (because the plan was that the canvas was going to be in pinks but then I found my sequin ribbon and changed the colour scheme). I then decided to make a mess by using a toothbrush to flick paint over the canvas (and my quilt, blanket, towel, face (yes I flicked the toothbrush the wrong way lol)) and love the effect. I added the ribbons, made the snowflake, added the wording and a little photo corner to add a bit of shine.

No wonder I've been wondering where all the time has gone this week, I even 'made' my own little embellishment for the canvas. Painted a chipboard snowflake, then once that was dry I went through about 5 different glues trying to find one that would stick the gems to the paint, in the end I gave up and used my glossy accents

I had a bit of a disaster with the stamp as the white ink wouldn't show up on the purple card, and the paint marker wouldn't write over the ink lol, eventually switching the inks I managed to get some of the words to stamp ok so I could go over them with the paint marker and the rest I just had to write in the same style, but I think this works really well and meant that I could cut out the individual words and spread them down the side of the canvas rather than having to be a big block which I didn't think would work with this canvas.

Supplies: 'Friendly Advice' Stamps by Inkadinkado, Photo Corner by (I think) Papermania
Extras: Chipboard Snowflake, White, Pink & Purple Acrylic Paint, White Paint Marker, White Ink Pad, Purple Card, Ribbon from Stash, Sequin Ribbon from Stash, Gems, Glossy Accents

Sorry for all the waffle lol. Hope you join us this week and have fun with the challenge XOX

Girl???

Just a quick post as I've got to get a card and present to get made tonight

Anyways onto the card we've got a couple of babies due in the next few months, so I thought I'd get a start on the baby cards (no one knows what they're having so I'm going to be making a selection). I finally got to use my Ellie Stamp - I've had it for ages and it's soooooo cute - perfect for lots of glitter and gems and glossy accents, and more glitter on the papers too now all I need is one of the babies to be a girl lol

Supplies: 'Ellie and Rabbit' Stamp by Stamposaurus Stamps, 'Nana's Nursery' Papers by DCWV, Ribbon by KI Memories, Flowers by Bo Bunny, Gems by Doodlebug, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Nesties
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers, Gems, Glossy Accents

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

Anyways before I go I just thought I'd share the pictures of the flowers I got for Valentine's off Ian - tulips - my favourite :)

And the elephant - cos Ian asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day and I replied that I wanted an elephant lol - yes it's been pointed out that I meant a real one lol. But how cute is he - Fred :)

And the tulips starting to open up :)

Right I'd best get going otherwise I'm not going to get anything finished tonight and the list of jobs for tomorrow is already full lol XOX

Pugs and Love Blog Award

No card from me today, been trying to catch up on everything that I'd left when I wasn't feeling well, and trying to work out what I want to do for my design team cards.

But anyways I had a lovely surprise today, Pami at Pami's Crafty Creations, gave me the Love Blog Award - which I accept thank you xox
Here are the conditions for the 'Love Blog' award.

You have been TAGGED and want to participate?

Create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image.

You should also blog the person's link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award.

You can then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged. I'd like to give this award to:

Frea - Creafrea

Lisa Jane - Mess2Magic

The aim of this action is that we bring unknown, good blogs to light, so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers.

How cool, thank you Pami :)

Before I go here is a picture from the other day when we went to see the pugs, this is me with Miss Pickles (Mr Bojangles didn't seem as keen to sit and have his picture taken but she made herself comfy lol)

All Loved Up

Finally seem to be getting back into things now, and seem to be getting better (touch wood - cos I thought that last week too) so can hopefully get some more things done.

Anyways going to be quick as I want to get on and get a card made before bed, so onto today's card. This card is for Ian - we've been together for a year on Saturday :) I can't believe how quickly it's gone :) but it's great he makes me so happy, I love him so so so much (it's ok I'll stop there before you start reaching for the sick bags lol). I have to say I love how this card has come out. My starting point was the use a photo challenge on Sweet Stampin' Challenge so I knew straight away I wanted to use one of the pictures of my flowers that Ian got me for Valentine's Day last year, and this Forever Friends paper just suited the style so well. Some Rub-ons for the sentiment and some gems for a bit of sparkle, and cos I'm a nice NO GLITTER (poor Ian is normally covered in the stuff by the time he goes home) so really hope he likes it.

Supplies: 'Forever Friends' Paper, Rub-ons by Doodlebug
Extras: Gems, Photo, White Card, Red Ink Pad, Square Punch, Heart Punch

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

For Fun Challenges - Use Gems or Glitter

Right that's it for now, I've got to try and get another card finished and want an early night so I can try and get back to feeling normal lol XOX

Step Back In Time

How was everyone's Christmas and New Year? Good I hope. Had a lovely Christmas and New Year was really nice too, my cousin Lucy made her traditional gingerbread house and brought some lanterns to set off. It was so cool there were loads and loads of them flying over.

I was going to put some cards on but thought that there had been more than enough of them the last few weeks so here's a scrapbook page for a change, this is one for the album I'm doing up of all my old baby and holiday pictures. These are of me at about 9 months down by the marina near where we lived. I love this layout with all the brads and buttons and a blue layout - not got many of them lol.

Supplies: Cardstock and rub-ons by Doodlebug, (paper, buttons, brads, flowers, die-cuts, charms from stash)

I would like to enter this layout in the following challenge...

Alphabet Challenge Blog - I for Infants

Right and now a couple of Christmas photos....

This is me trying to use magic to keep the star on the top of the tree.

One of the decorations off the tree downstairs, I complain to my mum every year that mine is for 1983 and my first Christmas was 1982 lol

And one of my new decorations for this year - really pretty glass snowflake that I got at the Christmas Market in Manchester, just realised the baubles were new too - miniature ones from Paperchase.

Onto New Year - here is the Gingerbread House as made by Lucy

And them trying to light one of the lanterns lol

Right I'm off, need to get something to eat and need to get some boxes up into the loft. XOX

Snow Day

Wow well we finally got some snow, we looked out the window on Friday night and it was snowing and then spent the whole of friday evening checking, took forever to get to sleep as just wanted it to be morning so I could go out and play lol. Also my brother had got the home from the Isle of Man and was stuck for nearly the whole night on the M6, so I was half listening out for him getting back to give him a hand bringing his stuff in, he eventually arrived at half 6 (think I'd managed about 2 hours sleep by then lol) and by half 8 I was trying to convince everyone to come and help build a snowman - don't think I was very popular lol, but in fairness we haven't had this much snow in about 15 years - but think the result was worth it even if I do say so myself. And the snow is all still there :) I know everyone is complaining about it and no doubt when I have to go out in it I will too but for now it looks soooooooo pretty and I got to make a snowman :)

Anyways onto the second card, this has to be my favourite Bugaboo Stamp I have and I got it as a freebie!!! Woop!!! He's just sooooooooo cute. I still don't really use digi stamps much but when I do I love that you can re-size them. And some more of my favourite October Afternoon papers :) forgot to put a piece of ribbon across the card, doh oh well I think that the image is cute enough that no one will notice lol.

And a close-up to try and show the glitter

Supplies: 'Eggbert Winter' Digi Stamp by Bugaboo, 'Good Cheer' Papers by October Afternoon, Card by Doodlebug & DCWV, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Blue & Red Ink Pad, Ribbon from Stash, Copics, Promarkers

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

Oh Alice Challenge 42 - Curiouser and Couriouser (Winter Wonderland)

Alphabet Challenge - H for Hats

Pink Paper Paradise - Make It Monday

And before I go, I just thought I'd share my 'snowman' picture. As Ian said snowmen are sooooo last year lol, so here is my snowduck!!! he's modelled on my cuddly duck (he's filled with wheat so he's like a cross between a bean bag and a hot water bottle lol), I don't think we did too bad at all really and 3 days on he's still standing - though that is probably down to the fact that I don't think it's gone above 0 degrees lol.

Right I'm off to bed now, looking forward to a lie in and a lazy day tomorrow - well that's the plan anyway lol no doubt things will come up and suppose could get some tidying done or maybe make a start on January's cards instead (that's a tough choice lol) XOX

Back in my comfort zone

Wow how cold is it this morning, sorry to the people who've had masses of it and have been snowed in but would much rather have snow than ice, the pavements were horrible yesterday. But my Dad has been out in the garden taking pictures (see below the card) and I have to say looking at them inside in the warm they do look pretty lol.

Yay back in the pink, and rather a lot of pink for this one lol. I found this gingham paper yesterday while I was looking for something else and it instantly reminded me of pyjamas (not entirely sure cos I don't think I've ever had gingham pjs in my life but never mind) am glad it did, I'd stamped and coloured this Robyn image up pretty much as soon as it was out of the envelope, then realised I didn't know what I was going to do with it. So when I found the gingham paper it all sort of came together. The sketch was from The Spotted Chick (yay love sketches make the cards so much quicker lol) and I inked the edges of all the paper and card to make it stand out a bit more.

And a close-up, the flock looks a bit of a mess on the picture but looks much better in real-life lol. And just realised I've forgotten to add a gem as Robyn's PJ button - off to fix that now lol...

Supplies: 'Teddy Bear Robyn' and Sentiment Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Card by Doodlebug, Paper by Craft Creations, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Flock by Doodlebug, Epoxy Dots by Ladybug Crafts Ink
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Promarkers

Right had best get myself up so we can get going, not sure where we're off to yet - need to see what state the roads are in. XOX

PS and a couple of pictures from the garden courtesy of my Dad who was mad enough to stand outside in the cold taking them...

I love the frozen water droplets on some of the berries on this one

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge tomorrow morning woop - can't wait, though have to say am really hoping the challenge doesn't mean another green card lol. Right really am going now lol XOX
