Yummy Colours

Another really quick post - spent most of the evening trying to sort out car insurance ie going round in circles inputting everything re-inputting and then changing the tiniest thing at a time. But yay I survived and more importantly so did the computer lol - think Ian will def agree on that one since it's his computer that I'm on. And anyway running out of time till I have to go out again hence the quick post.

Onto the card... I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges...

I had to use another of my toadily stamps I love them they're so cute, can't believe I'd left them sitting there so long without been used. And I FINALLY used some of my Love Shack papers, I love the bright bold colours of these too - definitely Summery!!!

I added some nice bright ribbon too, and of course the glossy accents to make the frog all shiny.

Supplies: 'Toadily' Stamps by Penny Black, 'Love Shack' Papers by Bo Bunny
Extras: Pink Ink Pad, White Card, Promarkers, Ribbon from Stash, Glossy Accents

OK best get going, see you over the weekend with Ian's card - eeek - so relieved it all came together ok XOX

101 POSTS!!!!

Yay my 101st post!!! (I missed that it was my last one was my 100th ooops must be the old age getting to me) and also missed that it was 6 months since I started the blog!!! Oh how time flies and things change.

Well this is going to be a super quick post because it's nearly 12.15 and I have to be up in 6 hours :S (and got a cold so probably not going to sleep much anyway so maybe better to be on here rather than getting annoyed with myself when I can't get to sleep lol). Anyways another New Home Card, this time for my cousin and his girlfriend who are moving into their first flat this weekend, all I've got to do now is remember to write it lol.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges...

The Pink Elephant Card Challenge TPE84 - RECIPE CHALLENGE: THE COLOUR AQUA, DP AND EMBELLISHMENTS OF YOUR CHOICE

Aly's Sunday Challenge - ASC26 - RECIPE CHALLENGE: ATLEAST 2 DESIGNER PAPERS AND ATLEAST 2 BUTTONS

this card is nothing like the planned card which involved the same papers but with a tree on, but I couldn't find that stamp and for me moving house seems to be an autumn-theme - I've been doing so many new home cards lately (plus all the new uni students moving away too)

I love these papers, I've had them in my stash for ages so I'm guessing they're getting quite old now, they're from the Vintage Carnival range which has similar colours to the Kitchen Spice range love the aqua with the autumn colours :)

I've added some glossy accents to the flowers, leaves and heart - makes a change from the glitter that I'm still finding everywhere after that snowman card lol

Supplies: 'Love Shack' Stamp by Whipper Snapper, 'Vintage Carnival' Papers by Bo Bunny, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Ribbon (from Stash can't remember who it's by maybe Bo Bunny, maybe someone else)
Extras: White Card, Promarkers, Glossy Accents, Buttons from Stash

Right that's it for me now, Ian's card is done - can't wait to show you that on Saturday, and got another card to post before then :) But now it's bedtime :) XOX

My first Christmas Card (yes I know everyone else started in July lol)

I'm back, normal service has resumed (although only temporarily as it's a certain someone's 30th on Saturday so I'm over at Ian's for the weekend) had a great birthday weekend, really really lovely. Ate far far far too much ah well birthdays are natures way of telling us to eat more cake after all lol. Anyways here's me with my dancing Gizmo that Ian got me - how cute is he?!?! he sings and dances - awwwwwwwwwwww

Anyways didn't get any cards done over the weekend, and been feeling bit rubbish today, all full of cold but have still managed to have quite a productive day. Got all my card orders finished and managed to get a challenge card done too :) yay finally lol. Also have made a start on Ian's card, so actually feel like I'm getting somewhere now :)

For this card I've tried something new, I've stamped the image onto acetate (I had a play with a few inks and couldn't quite get it right so has to fill in a few gaps with my fineliner but I think it works, I've then flipped the image over and put the glitter on the back - bit like colouring in but using glitter instead. I've seen this in magazines for years and never gotten round to trying it. I thought it would be perfect for this snowman stamp (this has to be one of my favouritest stamps - it's just too cute) I love the way the white glitter has come out.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges...

for this I chose to do an aperture card (possibly the first since I started making cards again) and have overlapped the snowman image with the edge of the aperture :)

Creative Inspirations - Challenge 79 - 2 OR MORE STAMPED IMAGES
for this instead of leaving the card behind the aperture blank I dug out one of my old Anita's Stamps, and stamped these cute stars in silver to sit behind the cute snowman

Oh Alice - Chapter 32 - JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH
for this the task was to make a card with a hole or window

Anything goes

Right well onto the card....

I may have to take this apart at some point, I think the card is a bit too blue but I didn't have anything more turquoisey to hand at the time. I had a bit of a panic over the papers too because I'd coloured (glittered) the snowman up before I picked out my papers (as normal) and then couldn't find anything to match till this Bo Bunny paper jumped out.

It doesn't really show up but the whole of the image is coloured in glitter and it is SOOOOOOO sparkley in real-life, I layered the image onto white card so the glitter showed up better as otherwise half the image was against a dark background and the other was against the patterned background. Really pleased with it, and have to say the pictures just don't do it justice.

Supplies: 'Sweet Snowman' Stamp by Penny Black, Stars Stamp by Anita's, 'Tis the Season' Paper by Bo Bunny, Card by Doodlebug, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Acetate by Papermania
Extras: Silver Ink Pad, Black Fineliner, White Card

Right well that's me done for the night, still got loads to do but I need sleep so it's all gonna have to wait lol. XOX

Naming Day

Another quick (pre)post, still working my way through my orders, but hopefully should be able to get back to getting some challenges done by mid-next week - fingers crossed cos I miss doing them - gets me thinking alot more than usual lol and gets me doing different things rather than just the same old.

This card was one of my orders from last week. Naming card for the nephew of one of the girls in work. She's had a nightmare trying to get one in the shops and I think she was really pleased with it. Hope you all do too.

Close up of the teddy and the glittery star, I've adapted the stamp again, as he should have a Christmas hat on but that didn't really fit in (really must get round to doing a christmas card using this stamp so you can see the full stamp).

Supplies: 'Christmas Ted - Big Star' Stamp by Lili of the Valley, Paper by Flair Designs, Blue Card by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Ribbon, Blue Ink Pad, Promarkers

Right am typing this on saturday so had best get on because we're off out for a meal soon and I'm still in my jammies. XOX

Happy Birthday to Me lol

I haven't got one of my cards to post today, been a busy few days and haven't managed to get anything done. But I have got the card Ian made me for my birthday to show you :) I love it - so nice to get hand-made cards :) I've been spoilt rotten today - thank you everyone for the presents, cards, texts and facebook messages :) got some charms for my bracelet and got a dancing Gizmo (you know from the Gremlins) he is SOOOOOO cute, and we're off to see Jason Manford!! (Ian had been saying that eh couldn't get tickets so really wasn't expecting them) - Thank you Honey. We went for a meal at Gusto last night which was beautiful soooo nice and today we've been up to Southport for lunch and a walk around, then back to watch a film.

Anyways onto his card - getting better at taking pictures of glitter

Here is the full card (still need to have words with him about the '28' cos I haven't decided if I'm sticking with that ages yet lol)

And showing off the layers

How lovely is the card :) Well I'd best get on, we're off out for a meal with my mum and dad in a bit and I'm still in my post-shower jammies lol (well it's my birthday I'm allowed lol). XOX

This is what I've been up to...

Don't know where the last couple of days have gone, I've been busy making cards but they have mainly been variations on cards that I've made before, but thought I'd post them to prove I have been doing something lol. Hopefully will have more to post either later today or tomorrow all I've got to do is get them made lol.

Supplies: 'Flower Ruby' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Bundle of Joy' Stamp by Penny Black, Ribbon by Marks and Spencer and Bo Bunny, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Printed Vellum, Hot Pink Card, White Card

This is another of the cards that I've made in the last few days, one of the girls in work wanted a wedding card, needed to keep this quite simple looking so decided to use the Lili of the Valley Challenge Sketch from a few weeks ago, and kept the colours to white and silver, am really pleased with how it's turned out.

Supplies: Sticker from the Paper Shop, Printed Vellum, White Card, Silver Card, White Ribbon, Gems

Right off to go and get a card done and hopefully make a start on a certain someone's 30th card lol. Oooo and going to have to catch up of True Blood too lol. XOX

Flower Power

Just a really quick post cos the matchsticks just aren't working tonight so I need to get to bed. Didn't manage to get any cards done yesterday but got to watch the last episodes of Gavin and Stacey and think I'm now all up to date with the Inbetweeners too. We went over to Neil and Steph's for the afternoon to watch the footy (ie me and Steph gab while Ian and Neil watch the game) think I may have convinced Steph to have a go at making some cards, so need to sort out a 'starter' pack for her so she can have a go (Neil will be cursing me if she gets hooked lol). Anyways we ended up getting Dominoes (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my favourite) and then watching X-Factor (have to say am not a fan - I don't get how they can put such rubbish through and not put others through, I also don't get how some people's friends and families can let them go and audition, they must really dislike them lol). But all is good cos Strictly will be back on soon :) Anyways today was much more productive, managed to get 3 cards done and got another 2 planned so I guess that makes up for it, but still masses to get done in the next week and a half.

Right onto one of tonight's cards, I have made this card to enter 2 challenges...

I've had these shaped cards for ages and hadn't got round to using them, so they were perfect for both these challenges, I used some My Mind's Eye Papers and skipped a stamped image - something which doesn't happen very often. The Flower in the centre is also from MME

Supplies: 'Quite Contrary' Papers and Flower by My Mind's Eye, Flower-shaped Card by Anitas, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Pink Ink Pad, Green Card

Right shut-eye time for me now. XOX

Moving On

Had a nice day today, yay got a bit of a lie in, and then went and did a bit of shopping then spent the afternoon watching old eps of Gavin and Stacey and the Inbetweeners. Then back to work catching up with the cards that need doing.

Well seem to moving on from the wedding cards (almost... still another couple to be done in the next few weeks) and on to New Home Cards - 3 to be made this week lol. This is the first of them. I'd like to enter this card in Scrapbook Sisters Card Challenge Number 2 - the challenge was to make a card using Scalloped Circles. Not something that I think I've ever used on a card, had to dig out my scrapbooking templates lol. Decided to keep this card nice and simple (keep thinking that it's missing something though lol), love these papers and the nice autumn colours (like that it has the aqua colour in it too, brightens it up a bit lol). The circle is actually the reverse side of the background paper :) so didn't have to cut up more sheets of paper lol.

Supplies: 'Love Shack' Stamp by Whippersnapper Stamps, 'Kitchen Spice' Papers by Bo Bunny, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Copics, Promarkers, Blue & Turquoise Ink Pad

Right I'm off to bed, hopefully back tomorrow XOX

Toadily

Wow, busy few days, not really got much done, but yay my pre-post worked yesterday. Soooooo glad that this week is over (finally - can't believe how one day of overtime can make the week so long).

I managed to get a this card made this evening :) not bad for a start to finish in less than an hour and a half. I would like to enter this card in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 118 - Men/Boys Card. Which was something of a challenge lol, find men's (and even boy's) cards such hardwork. But I'm really really pleased how well this has turned out. Right best get on with the post cos think the deadline is coming up pretty soon.

I would also like to enter this card in the Alphabet Challenge - U for Unused Stash - this wasn't so much of a challenge as having to do a male card, was more like the opposite - I had that much unused stash that didn't know where to start. I had these Penny Black stamps for ages and hadn't use them - yep the pack hadn't even been open - oops - poor things cos think they're really cute. The paper was also unused stash, I'd bought the Bloom and Grow MME pack of paper right at the beginning of the year and don't think I'd used a single sheet. But I thought this fitted quite well with the frogs as it reminds me of the weed you get in ponds. Actually thinking about it the buttons have been in the box for years too - didn't realise how much old stash I've actually used on this card - maybe I'm not due a craft shopping trip soon after all.

Close up of the frogs (toads?) think the glossy accents works really well with the frogs, makes them look all shiny like in real life. The photo doesn't really do them justice (even if do say so myself lol)

Supplies: 'Toadily' Stamps by Penny Black, 'Bloom' Paper by My Mind's Eye
Extras: Buttons, Ribbon, White Card, Green Ink Pad, Copics, Glossy Accents

Right well, I'm off to watch some telly, soooo glad it's the weekend, and yay a lie in tomorrow (yep I'm betting I'll be awake before 7 too lol) Ah well atleast I don't have to actually get out of bed. XOX

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad

Oooooo my first pre-post (hoping this works lol), won't have time to post tomorrow (today when you're reading it - argh am confused lol

Anyway today - Thursday - is my mum and dad's 32nd Anniversary, this is Mum's card off dad - hope she likes it. Kept it nice and simple cos the image is so cute, didn't want to put loads on, and think it works well with the ribbons and the heart cut from the PP (that's my fave bit of the card lol)

Supplies: 'Sweet Surrender' Stamp by Penny Black, 'Splendid' Paper by Fancy Pants, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Double Dot Ribbon by Bo Bunny
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, White Ribbon, Copics

Yay it's Thursday only one more day in work, then nice lie in - can't wait :) XOX

More Tissue Paper

Another quick card, this time for our next-door neighbour, (Happy Birthday Andy). I adapted the papermania stamp to add Andy's hair and moustache, and coloured it up. The backing paper is more tissue paper from papermania - love it - and get masses of it for next to nothing :) it's great and doesn't even matter where it's folded cos the creases come out with the glue. I love the sentiment too lol. And it was missing a little something so managed to find some thick blue ribbon to add a little bow lol.

Supplies: 'Masculine (don't remember their name)' Stamps by Papermania, Paper by Crate Paper, Tissue Paper by Paperchase, Ribbon by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Green Ink Pad

Not a Card

Seem to have had a fair few cards recently so thought would have a scrapbook page for today (yes it means that I've had another one of those days and still not got any new cards to show off lol) work has been bit of a drain for some reason this week and then had some rubbishy stuff going on out of it too. But I will definitely have some cards to show you soon on account of me having to get a couple done for tomorrow :S I know talk about leaving it to the last minute.

Anyways this is the layout, I love that it's on scalloped card, this is the first (and possibly only card) have done this for. Thought the 'monster' paper and bright colours fitted really well with the photos. Hope you like it...

Supplies: 'Nightlight' Papers by October Afternoon, Card by Doodlebug and Papermania
Extras: Fine-liner

(How easy is that lol nothing to it!) Right I had better go cos need to get some food and check one of my car tyres :S eeeek going to have to do another trip to the garage - will have to start psyching myself up soon. XOX

Do we really need Mondays?

Argh been one of those days, do we really need mondays? they always seem to be a nightmare and this one was a particularly bad one :S and now got to try and motivate myself to get up and get some cards done that have been ordered, so not in the mood just want to get into bed in my jammies and put on a couple of good chick flicks, but going to have to get my butt into gear.

So for now here is another of Saturday's cards... this is another teal card for Sue's appeal for Ovarian Cancer Research, I was hoping to get another couple done but I'm not sure if time is going to allow it. I'm quite please with this one, though I think I'm going to have to have a go of making it in a different colour - teal isn't really my colour - it definitely needs pink lol.

Here's a close up of Nikki's uber-glittery dress, how stunning, complete with matching glittery shoes and a smidge of sparkly eye-shadow

Supplies: 'Winestool Nikki' and Sentiment Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Ooh La La' Papers by My Mind's Eye, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Double Dot Ribbon by Bo Bunny, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Teal Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers

Right best get on otherwise I won't get anything done and I won't have anything to show you tomorrow. XOX

Ladybug Love

Yay getting back to normal, and actually got some cards to post again :) hopefully going to get lots more done this week, try and get some more challenges done cos I haven't really done any this week with one thing and another. Anyways I survived overtime, just about lol - had to resort to having a nap. Had a quick look round the shops after work - treated myself to an icing covered pretzl mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Anyways just keeping this post short as I need to finish a card ready for tomorrow, so onto the card - this is quite possibly another favourite lol. This is for a competition over on Lisa's Blog - Mess2Magic, she has some blog candy on offer to celebrate her the number of followers and her design team roles. The challenge was to create a card with a ladybug theme. I knew as soon as I saw the challenge that it was the perfect chance to use my Little Ladies - Jana paper that I've had a fair while and haven't been able to bear to part with it until now. I also knew I HAD to use this Buttercup stamp as it's nice and clean and simple and ofcourse features another Ladybug :)

Ooooooo my first gate-fold card (possibly ever, none are springing to mind), I love the way this card turned out, the colours and layout and everything.

Supplies: 'Cross-Eyed Buttercup' by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Little Ladies' Paper by My Little Shoebox, Green Paper by Doodlebug, Red Card by Doodlebug, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Red Ribbon, Red Ink Pad, Promarkers

Right off to finish off a baby boy card for one of the girls in work, so many cards so little time. XOX

Teal Card For Charity

Yay today actually turned into quite a productive day - must have been the Maccy's Breakfast to start lol. I also I finally found a really cute house stamp and that arrived today - not made a card with it yet but got it stamped and coloured in ready.

Anyways this was the first card that I made today, this was made for Sue Upson at 'I can't draw but I can do this', she has an appeal on her blog asking for cards based on a teal colour scheme to be donated to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research - I think you have until 22nd September tosend your cards, so if you can then pop over to Sue's blog and have a read and get your teal cards over to her.

Trying to get a close up of the iris-folding, the pattern was from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine a few months ago, been meaning to use it for ages - yay finally got round to it lol. I'd not done any iris-folding since I last made cards about 9 or 10 years ago (before I drifted over to scrapbooking) so it was a bit of a challenge, alot more fiddly than I remember lol.

Supplies: 'Ooh La La' Paper by My Mind's Eye, 'Ducks in a Row' Paper by October Afternoon, 'Anna Sophia' Paper by Bo Bunny, Sentiment Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny
Extras: Handmade Paper from Stash, Teal Ink Pad, White Card, Fineliner

Right nearly 8 o'clock and still not eaten, oops had better get a move on cos need to get an early night in prep for overtime tomorrow - oh joy lol XOX

T for Trees

Right just a really quick post, been mad the last few days and have managed to get
NOTHING done, until last night. I have now also finally put some photos into the albums that I've had for probably over a year lol, so now just to order the other half of the photos lol.

So anyway onto today's project, still working my way through THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of old photos, again another that was started and have swapped the layout and papers etc around about a zillion times till I found these October Afternoon paper which I LOVE, I know they're probably more suited to Spring but I couldn't resist using them - love the bright colours and ofcourse the out-doors theme. How cute are the little trees and deer on the paper?!?

I would like to enter this card in this week's Alphabet Challenge - T for Trees

Supplies: 'Detours' Papers by October Afternoon, 'Detours' Die-Cuts by October Afternoon, Thickers by American Crafts, Alpha Stickers by Papermania
Extras: Black Ink Pad, Black Paint Marker, Cream and Green Card Stock

Right I've got to get going now cos got about 10 images to get stamped and coloured so I can get some cards finished for everyone, had been hoping to make a start in Ian's 30th card but think the footy has nearly finished so he'll be heading back up here ah well a job for next week lol. XOX

Pretty in Pink

Just a quick post then off to get some cards done before I fall asleep lol. Isn't it typical they tried to deliver a parcel yesterday and while mum went to collect that today, they tried to deliver another one today, so yay I've got my new blank cards but not all the photos that I've ordered - ah well it means I can sort them at the weekend when I have a helper lol.

On to the last of Monday's cards and this is the first time using a digi-stamp!!! Woop!!! Really easy to use and love that you can resize the images however you want. I'd got this image on 'Freebie Friday' - how cool is that. And yay managed to get it downloaded without too much hassle (Ian has some extra programs on my computer that I have to try and sort of bypass lol) so I'm thinking that I'm definitely going to be doing an order soon.

I'd like to enter this card in Aly's Sunday Challenge - AS24 Pretty in Pink - I think I managed to get enough pink on there to qualify and the stamp is definitely pretty.

Supplies: 'Freebie Fancy Umbrella' Digi Stamp by Bugaboo, Double dot card by Bo Bunny
Extras: Ribbons, Gems, Copics, Promarkers, Pink Ink Pad

Right OK best go and get some cards done... XOX

Blooms and Bling

Yay getting back into my scrapbooking again now, nothing like a challenge to get you started. This is a layout that I started weeks (OK being honest MONTHS) ago and never got round to finishing cos I wasn't quite happy with the start. I'm glad I left it alone though and didn't just plough ahead and ruin it or atleast not be happy with it. Sorry I've had to pixilate the photo again, I'll try and do my next layout with a different subject in the photo so you can see the layout to it's full potential.

I have to say this is one of my favourite layouts (yep I know I think I've said that about them all lol, but I can't help it they're all special in different ways.

Anyways onto inportant things... like the challenges...

I would like to enter this layout in The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge #23, the challenge was to make a layout using your favourite colours and favourite embellishments. This was actually harder than I thought it would be, the colours were a doddle - PINK and GREEN ofcourse, always a winning combo with me. But the favourite embellishments was some what more of a challenge, I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to scrapbooking supplies and often HAVE to buy things just cos they're too pretty to leave on the shelf, but I then bring them home and can't bear to use them, so I had loads of favourite embellishments so choose from but it was a really tough decision, and the pressure was on to make the layout look good so I wouldn't have 'wasted' some of my favourite embellishments. Yep I think I can be declared officially loopy lol.

I would also like to enter this layout in One Stitch at a Time Challenge #29 - Blooms - Butterflies - Blings. I loved this challenge and it fitted in perfect with the embellishment challenge at the Pink Elephant.

Supplies: 'Wild Raspberry' Cardstock Stickers by K&Co, 'Wild Raspberry' Papers by K&Co, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Rub-ons by Doodlebug, Gems by Anita,
Extras: Chipboard Letters from Stash

The embellishments I chose were some K & Co Cardstock Flower Stickers, complete with lots of glitter and gems, I loved them they were so pretty, I loved them so much that I used an entire pack just on this one layout!!! I also used the matching paper - I know how co-ordinated am I (doesn't happen often lol)

Anyways hope you like it, I'm now off to tear my room to pieces looking for some stickers that I bought a few weeks ago to do a wedding card and now I need them have disappeared (so can't wait for the day that I can have a craft room lol) XOX

On a roll

I'm on a roll tonight so thought I'd get another card on here before I got to bed, and already got my card/scrapbook layouts ready for the next few days - how scary is that, really not like me to be this organised lol. Must be all the practise at checking when application forms are due in lol.

I've been working my way through a load of challenges tonight, had some girly films on so it's been a nice evening, almost as nice as Ian being here, well not close really but I've had a nice evening and got lots of cards done to cross off my list. Still lots of new stamps that need to see ink, but this post crosses one off the list, I've had this stamp for months and love it, just been waiting for the chance to use it. Another Anniversary card for tonight's second card...

I'd like to enter this card in Lili of the Valley Challenge 63 - Sketch by Bev, I love working with the Lili of the Valley Stamps, the rabbits were a bit of a challenge for me to colour lol - but I got there in the end.

I would also like to enter this in Creative Inspirations Challenge 76 - green, pink and cream theme, I LOVE green and pink as a colour combo so this one wasn't so hard to work with lol, and yay another new challenge for me.

Supplies: 'Bunnies - In Love' and Sentiment Stamps by Lili of the Valley, 'Nellie's Garden' Paper by Pebbles Inc, Flowers by Prima
Extras: Pink Card, White Card, Cream Card, Pink Ribbon, Pink Ink Pad, Pearls, Promarkers, Copics

Right I'm off to bed now, back tomorrow with a scrapbook page I think for a change XOX

Jill again...

Wow I can't believe how quick this weekend went - it was a proper lazy weekend too, just what needed after all the running round of the last weekend. Back to work today - why can't all Mondays be Bank Holidays?!? Gonna be a long week lol. Managed to get a card done this evening, off to try and get a few more finished any minute now lol... can't believe it's gone dark already :S

So here is tonight's card, featuring the 'Jill is Two' Stamp again, really need to order some more of the Mo Manning stamps love them and need a bit more variety lol. I would like to enter this card in the Quixotic Challenge #39: Colour Challenge - Black, White and One Other Colour. I chose Pink which means that I would like to also enter this card in Scrapbook Sisters - Card Challenge Launch this is the first Card Challenge and the task was to create a card in their signature colours of Pink and Black. Hope you like it.

Supplies: 'Jill is Two' Stamp by Mo Manning, Flowers by Petaloo, Epoxy Dot from Ladybug Crafts Ink
Extras: Papers from Stash, Black Card, White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers

Right going to keep this a short post and get on with my next card. XOX

S for Scallops

This is my entry for this week's Alphabet Challenge - S for Scallops, a bit of a change this time and a scrapbook page for this challenge. These are the DVDs that we used to watch whilst spending the day scrapbooking, I've got pictures from each year and it's funny to see how some stay there year after year and other's disappear lol. The thickers started out as white but they didn't really stand out enough so I used the paint markers to colour them in and I think they've come out really well.

Supplies: 'Euphoria' Papers by Basic Grey, Thickers by American Crafts, Button by Bo Bunny, Velvet Ribbon by Say It With A Smirk, Flower by Petaloo
Extras: Sticker from Stash (can't remember who it's by), Black Paint Marker, Pink Ink Pad

Right off to the shops now then hopefully going to sort some photos to order. XOX

Friday, 3 September 2010

Yup I've been at the glitter again

Neraly forgot to add the link to the challenge yesterday, well infact did forget to add the link and had to add that in today oops. So I'm going to start by doing that before I forget...

I'd like to enter this card in the Crafty Cardmakers: Spotlight on Glitter and Sparkle Challenge I used some sparkley Bo Bunny papers, and added plenty of glitter to the image, though as usual the photo just doesn't quite show it (anyone got any tips on taking pictures of glitter lol).

Supplies: 'Martini Nikki' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Jazmyne' Papers by Bo Bunny, Smaller Flowers by Prima, Brad by Basic Grey, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Large Flower, Purple Ink Pad, White Card, Ribbon, Copics, Promarkers

Well that's all for today, hopefully going to get some more cards done in the next few days (yay a lazy weekend is on the cards :) as much as I enjoyed last weekend I'm really looking forward to a rest - god I'm getting old lol) and hopefully some more challenges to enter, just need to find a way of organising them so I don't keep missing them (often only by a day or two which gets a bit annoying lol). Help I forgot the Colour

Can't believe it's September already, it's scary how quick the year is flying by - really must be getting old (but am not ready to accept that yet, I'm still trying to decide how old to be this year lol) and still racking my brain trying to think what I can get Ian for his 30th (1 month today!!!) men are so hard to buy for but on the plus side I think I know what I'm doing for his card lol.

Right just a short post cos my eyes are stuggling to stay open, we went to Steph and Neil's last night with a load of friends and then was in work this morning, an interview this afternoon and some cards to finish this evening lol, so much for my early night eh? Well onto the cards, this is the 2nd of tonight's cards, it's for a Pearl Wedding Anniversary for one of the girls in work. I have to say I REALLY struggled with this card, I didn't want to put too much gold or silver on because I didn't want it to look like a 25th or 50th Anniversary, but it looked too plain when I tried just the white and off-white, so in the end I settled for a bit of silver on the image and the vellum and kept the rest white and off-white. It doesn't really show up but the off-white card is all pearlesant and I have glittered the hearts and flower on the image.

Hope you like it

Oooo nearly forgot I would like to enter this card for The Pink Elephant TPE82 - Time for a Color Challenge - MOSTLY WHITE. Which really was something of a challenge for me cos I really like my colours lol.
