Bright and Sparkley

Don't know where this week has gone, had a bit of a nightmare day on tuesday but yesterday the sun was out and it was a much better day, also finally managed to catch up on some sleep yay so am finally feeling a bit better. And am slowly going though my Australia album

This layout is of photos that were taken on South Molle Island in the Whitsundays, both mornings we went down for breakfast and had to eat quick before the lorikeets turned up and invaded the breakfast tables, they look gorgeous so bright, not like anything we have back home and there were masses of them. This paper was from a set from a Pound Shop (not got a clue which) and think it matches the colours on the birds perfectly.

Supplies: Yellow Sugar-Coated Card by Doodlebug, Blue Green and White Card by Doodlebug, Glittery Brads by Papermania, All Mixed up Rub-ons by Doodlebug
Extras: Stripey paper from Stash, Blue Ink Pad

I would like to enter this layout in the following challenge...

Papertake Weekly Challenge - SPARKLEY & BRIGHT
I love this layout, it's so bright and sparkley (had the usual issues of trying to take pictures of the sparkle lol) managed to get it to show on the title but all of the photos are mounted onto the same glittery card and the brads are glittery too

Right had best go and get some dinner XOX

Oh Dear..

Just a quick post today cos I'm feeling really rubbish, woke up with the start of a cold and ear ache so am still in bed feeling sorry for myself anyways got to get on cos stuff to get done later, so thought a quick post while still here cos not sure when will have chance to post again.

Anyways this is a Retirement card that my mum wanted for one of the girls in work, very pink - was having withdrawal symptoms cos the last few have been so un-pink lol, in fact don't think there's been a pink one for weeks - I must be ill lol.

I love these papers they're some of my favourites, I've lost count of the number of scrapbook pages I've used them on so thought I'd use them on some cards quick before they're all gone and my album looks all the same lol

As usual had problems takening pictures of the glitter and sparkle, there's a row of gems down the left side of the front of the card (on the dots of the paper), glitter on the book and cup, and then all over the red flower, and then there's the epoxy dot for a bit of extra sparkle

Supplies: 'Coffee Nikki' and Sentiment Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Blush' Papers by Basic Grey, Flowers by Petaloo, Epoxy Dot by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Pink Ink Pad, Gems, Copics

Then went to Alton Towers on Friday managed to catch up on some of the rides that we missed last time cos it was so busy. Ian was official photographer for the day and look at the fab photo he got of me and Emma at the top of Oblivion!!!!

And a zoomed in version in case you missed us

Not us this time, but this is the drop lol - how cool

Hopefully going to get some cards done in the next few days, but hopefully just going to have a lazy day today, been mad few days, after Alton Towers we were up to Manchester to stay over then a day shopping and then off to see Train last night... need sleep now lol XOX

Lady of Leisure

Just a really quick post as I've got loads still to be done before I have to go out argh don't know where the time has gone, have been up since half 8 too lol. Though did have to stop to see the Kerry's Nikki stamps on Create and Craft. Anyways on to the card...

My mum asked me to do a 50th Card for one of the girls she works with, I think this Nikki stamp works perfectly for this card. And I love the sentiment. I'd only just bought these papers too think they work really well with the image.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge...

I decided to have a change from my copics and promarkers and dug out my Derwent pencils so got a softer look. Did have to add some glitter to Nikki's jumper though.

Supplies: 'Martini Nikki' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Two Scoops' Papers and Number Stickers by Basic Grey, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Derwent Pencils, Watercolour Colour Crayons, Ribbon from Stash, Gems

Right I really had best get on, got to finish the card from last night and pack my bag and change the bed and... and... and... lol XOX

Bed Time

Yay blogger is back up and running, missed an earlier challenge cos it wasn't working, ah well never mind lol will save that card and post it over the weekend. Actually had quite a productive day, went down to the Job Centre, went and collected my car from it's repairs, and then managed to get 3 and a half cards done (lol - need to print the sentiment and find some ribbon to match for the last one). And now a quick post, watching Time Team (so semi-educational lol) so bed as soon as that finishes.

This card is for friends of our's who moved into their new house a few weeks ago, I started the card at the time but with one thing and another have only just stuck it all together lol. I love the autumn colours of it, for some reason think the colours work really well for New Home cards. Think it's cos everyone I know seems to move then. I've used the same gate-fold design as on my Buttercup card I made for Kerry (and yay she used the layout on a couple of her cards so it must be good lol), I love gate-fold cards, make a change from the usual, just need to have a go of doing something different with them I think I've used the same design on them all lol. Anyways onto the card...

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges...

The Pink Elephant #86 - COLOUR CHALLENGE: BROWN AND ORANGE

Oh Alice - CHAPTER 32: GATE-FOLD

Paper Cutz Challenge #63 - ANYTHING GOES

What a lot of waffle...

Just a little post...
...well that's the plan anyway, I've not managed to make any challenge cards yet today fallen massively behind - really don't know where the time is going, I got more challenges done when I was working lol. Anyways I cam on to check my e-mail and got it into my head that I needed a new title/header thing for my blog (well not a new one have only had the basic thing that came with the template, and got a really fancy idea in my head with photos all matted together so did all that (thank goodness am getting my head round photoshop lol) but when I put it on it was just far too cluttered so had to take it off but there was no way I was leaving it back as the plain boring one so I managed to come up with this to match my watermark :) really pleased with it cos the colours all match the blog, now just need to re-colour my watermark so that matches too lol. What a lot of waffle (infact going to have to rename the post lol)

Not managed to achieve a great deal this morning, been commenting on the Ladybug Crafts Ink's Design Team's Cards for TOTALLY LADYBUG TUESDAY, and yay they've started a challenge blog (I know cheering after staying that haven't had time to do any challenges) but I love Kerry's Stamps and it'll give me a push to use them lol - I think I've still got some that haven't seen ink (shock horror lol). Anyways there's a link to the blog on the side-bar, check it out as there's blog-candy to be won.

Anyways yep while I was on here I thought I'd best post a card as I've been a bit slow on posts the last few weeks, anyways here is todays card, it was made for the beginning of September and hadn't got round to posting it lol, what am I like. One of the girls in work wanted a new baby card for her new great-nephew (hope that's right lol), I think I may have posted a similar card to this for a baby girl too, I think they're really sweet the paper is SOOOOOOO cute and getting really hard to come by now, so I'm rationing it for special cards lol. Sorry the flash has come out really bright on this but the ribbon goes all the way across, I can't remember where I got the ribbon from I think it was from a wedding invitation stand though and got 25m for £3!!!! how cool is that, needless to say I bought every colour they had while I was there lol. Right I think I've waffled on more than enough now so here is the card...

Supplies: 'Bundle of Joy' Stamps by Penny Black, 'Ben's Clothes Line' Paper by Flair Designs, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Font from dafont.com
Extras: White Card, Blue Ribbon from Stash, Copics

Right I'm running massively behind now, only popped back on to check my e-mails and ended up messing with blog so thought might as well post something while I was on here, and haven't got any of my challenge cards done yet :-S (not entirely sure how many going to get done either as interview this afternoon, got to go to the job centre in the morning and then thursday night am at a concert, Alton Towers Friday, staying over in Manchester on Friday night so all day in the city and then a concert in the evening lol, and on Sunday... SLEEP lol don't think I'll be fit for anything else lol. Right well so much for a quick post... really am going now... XOX

Spooky

Just a quick post, got a million things to do this morning so can finally get some more cards done, feel like I've barely done any later, also need to try and get some more of my Australia pictures still struggling to get back into my scrapbooking though that could be the box of over 1000 Australia photos putting the pressure on lol, talk about a never ending task lol.

Anyways just a really quick card for today's post, my first ever Hallowe'en card (well other than when we used to have to make them in school on the last day before half-term lol) this was a really quick make, love the digi stamps cos they can be re-sized.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges...

By the Cute and Girly - OCTOBER CHALLENGE: SPOOKY

Allsorts of Colours

Just a really quick post, after not posting for a few days oops, have had a busy few days, had a big tidy up, trying to get room bit more organised so have more space for my ever-expanding collection of papers and other crafting bits and pieces. Had an interview, had my car break on the way over to Ian's. Fortunately he volunteered to drive it back for me and I followed in his car. He was laughing that ~I hadn't had the music on all the way over because I was having to concentrate on willing the car to make it home lol. Anyways bit of a stressful morning yesterday, ended up all headachey. Anyways we weren't going to let the car change our plans so we went off to the Trafford centre, we were good though all we got was a t-shirt and a postcard lol. Went to see 'Life as we know it' (think that's what it was called) was really good, good mix of crying and laughing. And then went and got some tea had some yummy macaroni cheese but Ian's steak was a bit icky (so he said - I don't know the slightest thing about steak) but they knocked it off the bill :)

Anyways so much for the really quick post lol. Onto my actual post, scrapbook page this time...

I'd like to enter this in the following challenge...

The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge 26 - Time for a Theme-Challenge: CHILDHOOD
I love this layout, bit of a change to my usual colour scheme, lots of bright colours - I LOVE these papers they are just so bright and funky, I thought they went with my dungarees perfectly. I loved these dungarees when I was little, and was gutted when I out-grew them - they just remind me of holidays. They jumped out in the shop, my mum pulled a face but my Grandma did the Grandma thing and bought them for me :) I still love them now. I think these are the only pictures I have of the dungarees so I'm really glad this layout worked well and I didn't have to pull it all apart again lol. I love the journalling too going round the page and the funky bright flowers and...

Supplies: 'Allsorts' Papers by Kaiser Craft, Flowers by Petaloo, Brads by Bo Bunny, Cardstock by Doodlebug
Extras: Black Paintmarker

Right well I've just recieved my photo order so I need to sort them out ready for scrapbooking and putting into albums. XOX

Perfectly Purple

Just a really quick post cos got a load of things that need to get done before Ian gets back from work, cos I've been up to Southport with mum and dad today. How is it that I'd only gone for a look and to get some fresh air and to get out of the house more than anything and yet I spent a fortune lol. Accidently bought a top, a knitted dress/tunic, a shirt, a couple of packs of paper, a couple of stamps, some stickers and microbeads lol. Good job I hadn't actually gone shopping I wouldn't have been able to carry it all lol.

Anyways this is another card I made the other day...

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge...

As you can guess the challenge was to use the sketch on their site

Dear Santa... Define Good...

Yay another scrapbook page, am getting there (allbeit very slowly lol), I've spent this morning filling in online application forms and head is now feeling VERY battered lol, Now all I've got to do is collect all the information up cos not got a clue what bits I'm going to need.

Right anyways a scrapbook page today - told you was on a roll with my crafting, a definite plus on the side of not working lol - and another challenge layout! this was to complete a layout using only red, black and white - this really isn't one of my favourite colour combinations anymore (did go through a stage where is was my favourite about 5 years ago - which was great cos it meant hidden away in all the drawers and cupboards was lots of red, black and white embellishments just sitting gathering dust waiting till they came back into favour again lol).

This layout is of the Christmas Day I spent in Australia, I didn't want traditional Christmas colour's as I'll have enough pages of them with Christmas photos from over here (when I eventually get round to scrapping them lol). Plus with all the sunshine and sunbathing it just didn't feel like Christmas at all. I couldn't resist putting in the patterned paper with all snowy words on but I think that was more for the colours rather than the winter/christmas aspect lol. I added quite a bit of journalling to this page as it is the journalling for all of the Christmas Day pages. The title came from my vest 'DEAR SANTA... DEFINE GOOD' I love it, and just for the record I was good and santa brought me a parcel of presents over all the way from the UK lol.

Anyways before I waffle on too long, I'd like to enter this LO in the folllowing Challenge...

Paper Cutz Challenge #62 - RED,  BLACK & WHITE ONLY

Supplies: 'Party Mix' Rub-ons by Doodlebug, Paper by DCWV, Card (red, black and white) by Doodlebug
Extras: 'Hand-Made' Lined Paper, Flowers from Stash, Black Paint Marker

Right had best get on, see if I can find any jobs to apply for, then hopefully might try and get a card or scrapbook page done XOX

Juggling Penguin

Wow what a lot of telly was watched last night, 2 hours of Strictly (my choice) followed by 2 1/2 hours of X-Factor (Ian's choice) lol - I've never really seen Xfactor before - is it just me or are they making up and changing the rules as they go along lol. Maybe off to the cinema tonight for a change lol.

Anyways have been continuing on my Christmas cards and finally finally finally used my 'juggling penguin' stamp that I bought in August, I LOVE this stamp definitely one of my favourites that penguin is so cute. This card was a complete bargain, I got the stamp in the closing down sale :( at Elzybells and the papers are from the co-ordinations packs that were in the clearance section in the Paper Shop, needless to say I grabbed as many as I could, they were such a bargain. I know they're not christmas papers or even traditional christmas colours but I think the penguin can pull them off lol

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge...

All Cosy

Just a quick post finally feel like getting somewhere with my Christmas Cards now, so some people might actually get hand-made Christmas Cards off me - it's normally only my mum that gets one cos I've spent my time making cards for everyone else, so was going to try and make sure that didn't happen this year.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge

I did cheat and do faux stitching, cos I've not had much time to get much crafting done lately so I drew on the stitches and I'll go over them with real thread next week.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 31 - STEP AWAY FROM THE SQUARE

Another cupcake card, last time I made the whole thing from scratch, I cheated this time and used the cards that I got in a free gift with one of the magazines (can't remember which one now) which made the whole thing alot quicker. I love this little image too soooo cute

Supplies: 'Piece of My Heart' Stamps by Penny Black, Sentiment Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers by Say it with a Smirk, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny
Extras: White Card, Kraft Card, Beige Ink Pad, Pink Pink Pad, Ribbon from Stash, Copics, Promarkers, Card Template and Cherry from Magazine Free Gift

Right tea-time now XOX

Yuck!!!

Just a quick post, hopefully going to post a card later so thought would post now rather than one right after the other, anyways will be quick cos I'm on a roll and don't want to forget what I'm up to lol. Been planning lots this morning so now just got to turn the ideas and sketches into reality lol - easier said than done.

Anyways I'm continuing through my Australia photos, I was over there for nearly 8 months and took I think it was over 7000 photos, and think I had over 1000 printed (it was too hard to chose which I would need for my album lol) so anyways still haven't really got anywhere with them, so that's my task now, got to try and only scrapbook those photos and not get distracted by any others lol (yep I've passed all the others to my mum so not even tempted lol). So anyways I'm going to have to track down some more scrapbook challenge blogs - has anyone got any good ones? if so let me know cos I'm finding them a bit hard to come by.

So anyway this is one of my Australia photos and a very attractive one at that, sorry if it's too icky for you - think it was worse for me it was my feet eeeewwwwww. Anyways this was taken near Nimbin, we'd been down to a waterfall and been swimming (well a couple of us did, the rest didn't want to get wet cos it was raining - think it was actually warmer in the water though) and then had to walk back up to the coach along a dirt path that in the rain had become horrible sticky mud, oh the joys of flip flops though, quick rinse with the hose and they were as good as new - my feet took a bit more cleaning lol.

Anyways I would like to enter this in the following challenge...
The Pink Scrapbook Challenge #25 - RECIPE CHALLENGE: THE COLOUR AQUA, DP AND EMBELLISHMENTS OF YOUR CHOICE

Supplies: Papers by Stacy Claire Boyd, Flowers by Petaloo, Brads by Making Memories, Stamps by Papermania (I think)
Extras: Aqua and Brown Card, Bronze Ink Pad, Rub-ons from Stash, Black Fineliner, White Paint Marker

Wow what a lot of waffle, so much for a quick post, ah well makes up for getting off easy with yesterday's post lol. XOX

I'm back

Well I'm back, lol, don't know where the last few days have gone, don't seem to have got much done, only got up to doing cards today. And here is the card... another christmas one (thought I'd best get going with them)... this is my first card using one of my stamps I got from Kerry at Ladybug Crafts Ink a few months ago and have only just gotten round to using. How cute is Buttercup with all the snow on her head, she doesn't look too happy lol.

I decided to keep this card quite simple all, with just the one paper and colour-scheme and think it works, with the obligatory glitter on the image and some extra gems for some extra sparkle.

Supplies: 'Buttercup with bird on Head' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Eskimo Kisses' Paper by Basic Grey, Gems by Doodlebug, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
Extras: Ribbon from Stash, White Card, Copics

Right best get on sorry just a quick post but lots to get done XOX

Happy 30th Birthday Ian xox

It's Ian's 30th today, so this is just a quick post before we go out, and I can now post Ian's card now he's seen it lol.

So here it is...

And the front view...

And a close up of the cake complete with 'chocolate sauce' lol, this is the cake that comes with the 'Add-on Magnum' by Ladybug Crafts Ink, but think it looks good by itself.

And a close up of the shaker bit, I stuck the numbers on the front of the shaker as I couldn't find a stamp that I liked and was suitable to put 'in' it. But really pleased with how it turned out, makes a fab noise.

Supplies: Cake Stamp from 'Add-on Magnum' set by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers from 'Boldly Blue Co-Ordinations Pack' by Doodlebug, Blue Card by Doodlebug
Extras: White Card, Sticker from Stash, Micro-beads, Promarkers, Copics, Glossy Accents

Also check out Kerry's baby cards (link to her blog on both side bars) which I 'helped' with lol. Love when something gives you that spark to get cards done when you're having one of those days lol. Right best get going XOX

PS Happy 30th Birthday Ian xox

Last Day

Yet another really quick post, sorry, things should calm down a bit after the weekend (PLEEEEEEAAASSSSEEEEE) today was my last day in work, don't think it's really sunk in yet, it'll hit home when haven't got to be up at 6.15 on Monday (but think that's a nice way for it to hit home lol). Anyways took a load of cards in and managed to get rid of a fair few so got space for the new ones I've been making lol.

And a card to show you (actually made a few weeks ago but took me ages to get it in the post (sorry Kerry) and had to wait till it was delievered. Anyways this was a little card for Kerry to say thank you for the loan of a stamp. Felt a bit silly sending her a card with one of her own stamps on but it's my favourite stamp at the moment and I knew this was one of Kerry's favourite papers so it seemed to all come together really well

Supplies: 'Cross-Eyed Buttercup' and Sentiment Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, 'Little Ladies - Jana' Paper by My Little Shoebox, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny
