Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - U for Up in the Air

Time still flying by, can you believe next week's challenge will be in April - how scary is that lol. But for now this week's challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog is Up in the Air yep we want to see projects that show anything that goes up in the air... birds.... butterflies... etc

For mine I had to use my superhero chickie stamp that was still waiting to be inked up - love those chickies they're just soooooooo cute lol. So OK chickies aren't normally found up in the air but this one is a superhero so he is lol. I also used stars which are also found up there lol.

I raised the chickie out on a piece of spiral wire so it bobs a bit, The star had a wood finish which didn't really stand out so I cos my copics out and love the effect it gave.

WoW

Yay I can finally upload pictures properly again (thank you Ian - mwah) and yay I got my Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge card finished this week (have missed loads recently - very naughty of me lol) anyway this week's challenge is White on White - have to say I love other people's white on white cards but I've never really liked my own and tend to avoid the theme. But I have about a million new baby cards to make this year and want to try and keep them all different so I don't get too bored of them lol. This one is for Ian's cousin, who has just had a little girl 'Evie'. There was also a couple of Embossing Challenges which I think is perfect for white cards. I used a couple of my embossing folders and created a patchwork effect. (the flower is white but has come out creamy) added lots of glitter to the image and some shimmer chalks (though they haven't really shown up on the photos).

A close-up of the glitter

Alphabet Challenge Blog - T for Trees

Sorry I've not posted this week, my blogger account seems to be in a mood with me and keeps either kicking me out or not loading pictures - and today had a new one (apparently I'm now out of space too lol) but it seems to be working just now so I'm going to get a quick post on now before it realises I've done it lol. Oh don't you just love modern technology lol.

Well I'd like to say that I can't believe it's Friday again but this has been a REALLY long week lol. But I've survived lol. And yes it's that time of the week again, time for a new challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog - T for Trees - I have to say that I was struggling with this one till I saw on Kerry's blog that she was now selling felt and had to do a quick order. I used the cake from the 'Add-on Magnum' stamp for the cakes growing on trees and some really cute mini alphabet stickers from My Little Shoebox that I've had for ages and not gotten round to using. Really pleased with how it turned out and love the colours and the tree and I have to say I think it would be very very nice if cake grew on trees, well cakes, sweets, chocolate and lime doritos lol

Supplies: Alphabet Stickers by My Little Shoebox, Cake Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Ribbon and Felt by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Brown Card by American Crafts, Blue Card by Craft Creations, Pink Card by American Crafts

Right I'm off to try and see if I can work out what is up with my account and see if I can add the other pictures, wish me luck and make sure you head on over to the Alphabet Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have been up to. XOX

Happy Liverpool Christmas

Time still seems to be running away and I've still got a list a mile long of things to be done lol. But I managed to get a few of them crossed off today.

I should probably also explain the post title - some of my family used to come up to Liverpool for Christmas and now cos of work and little kids they come up a bit later and the night is now known as Liverpool Christmas lol. So last night was 'Liverpool Christmas'. Was really good, and good to catch up with them all.

Anyways onto the card, I wanted to make sure I entered the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge cos I'd missed a few cos of running out of time. Anyways this weeks challenge was stitching and straightaway I had the idea of stitching a flower stem and using a chipboard flower. I've used some of my new papers - I love them the colours and nice and bright and spring like.

Alphabet Challenge Blog DT - R for Ribbon

Yes that time of the week again - and March already can't believe how quick the year is going.

Well this week's challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is R for Ribbons!!!! I think this has been my favourite challenge so far cos I LOVE ribbon - I have a box full of ribbon and try and keep some of my favourites lol. I knew straight away I wanted to use lots of ribbons, mainly because it meant I wouldn't have to chose between them all.

I still had some spare canvases out, and decided to have a go at changing the canvas into a picture frame - it was so easy, just cut a cross (corner to corner) in the centre and I then folded it over and stuck it down out on the back leaving thecentre open.

I painted the canvas and then wrapped ribbons round the sides, added the photo to the centre and some card to cover the messy ends on the back. I'm so pleased with it - my favourite colours of pinks and purples and some of my favourite ribbons. Not sure if it might be missing some gems but I'm going to leave it as it is now.

Supplies: Canvas, Ribbons from Stash, Purple Acrylic Paint

Head over to the challenge blog to check out what the rest of the design team have been up to. Can't wait to see what you make XOX

Oh Bubbles...

Wishing whoever is stealing days out of my calendar would put them back - can't believe it's March already. Just a really quick post cos I've still got loads to get done (probably cos I spend more time making my lists than actually getting things done, lol.

This is a leaving card for the one of the girls who used to work with Ian, the wording was from Ian, I think it was cos they think it's funny the way she says Bubbles. I've had these papers ages and hadn't got round to using them I came across them while having a tizz cos I couldn't find the papers I wanted lol. Some fab green ribbon to finish it off and contrast with the pink.

Supplies: 'Bathtub Nikki' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Papers by Funky Hand, Double Dot Card by Bo Bunny, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug
