Should be busy revising but instead have been busy drawing sketches of some of my favourite scrapbook pages into my new notebook, have then just printed and cut out the photos of the pages to make my own sketch book. (Was getting fed up of having to get all the scrapbook albums out to find which one it's in or put the computer on to find the picture of it). Yay. Photos to follow once I've decorated the front cover :) That probably will have to wait till after my exams though lol XOX

In the Pool
Been a while since I posted and gonna be busy with college for the next few weeks so I thought I'd post the one layout have managed to finish. This was taken on in the pool of the apartments we were staying in, in Zakynthos. It was taken using the old disposable underwater camera before they started doing all the cases for the digi-cameras - fortunately the one shot we got came out lol.
I mainly used the materials in my Scrapagogo kit, but also used some giant bubble wrap to create the background effect - I love the way the stream of bubbles on the edge of the photo blend into the paint effect. I picked out some bright colours from the bikini top so the page didn't look too washed out.
Supplies: Scrapagogo Kit, Alpha Stickers by Crate Paper, Die-Cut Sticker by Cosmo Cricket, Ticket by Tim Holz, White Acrylic Paint, Giant Bubble Wrap

Just like Narnia
Me again, this is the scrapbook page I finished today.
The picture is from November 2010 when we got the first proper snow of the year and me and Ian took a spare of the moment trip down to Loggerheads to go for a walk in it (we hardly get any snow where I live so I am a big kid when it comes to snow (well if I'm honest I'm worse than a kid)) we went round one bit and it was like walking from one season to another as there was an area with no snow and all the autumn leaves and then it changed to snow again and no sign of Autumn and for some reason this just reminded me of Narnia.
I love all the colours in the photo, I've kept the autumn colours from the front of the photo for the layout, so nice warm oranges, browns and creams - some of my current favourites. The papers, card and Thickers were from May's Scrapagogo Kit, the jar was cut from a sheet of paper from the April Kit. I get my last kit this month, sob, but we're hopefully going to be moving later in the year so it makes sense to try and reduce the size of my stash rather than adding to it.
Supplies: Card by Bazzill, '9 to 5' Papers by October Afternoon, 'Neapolitan' Paper by Dear Lizzie - American Crafts, 'Sugar Maple' Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels, Thickers by American Crafts, Rub-ons by Flair Designs, Brown Ink Pad

Oh Joy Football AGAIN
Well there's been football on - yawn - and now rugby - yawn - and then more football - yawn. Really not fair that all the schedules get re-arranged for sports. Ah well will just have to start working my way through the DVD collection lol. So far have watched some Gossip Girl, then Music and Lyrics, onto the The Wedding Date now... but of course the plus side of the sport (and the rainy days) is that I've managed to get some crafting done, 2 cards and 1 and a half scrapbook pages. Couldn't get the title right on the second one so I've left that one for now - hoping that inspiration will strike by tomorrow when the football is back on lol.
Anyways here is the first of today's cards - 30th Birthday Card for One of our friends, it was his party last weekend and we took him to see John Bishop in Chester (brilliant if anyone is thinking of going to see him) and get him a pinata full of sweeties but his birthday isn't till next week so he's had to wait for his card. I'm not overly happy with the card (just when it doesn't match the picture you have in your head) but Ian likes it so I will resist the urge to pull it apart lol.
Supplies: 'Football Jack' Stamp by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Thickers by American Crafts, Rub-ons by Doodlebug, White Card, Blue Ink Pad, Ribbons, Copics, Promarkers

Lovely Long Weekend
Yay we've got a nice long weekend if only the sunshine could have stayed around for it but I guess that was inevitable since it's a bank holiday lol. Though just found out there's a street party down our road so we're going to have to go out for the day cos it's not really our thing.
So anyway managed to get some crafting done :) still got lots of cards to get done but wasn't really in the mood to do them. So anyway this was today's layout, the pictures are from a trip down to Wilson's Prom in Australia, the first is a picture of me sitting at the top of Mount Oberon and the other is of the Mount. My poor mate had to listen to me complain all the way up cos I don't do hills lol. But I have to say the view was worth it.
Supplies: Papers, Flower and Alphabet Stickers by Crate Paper (from Scrapagogo Kit), Mini Alphas by My Little Shoebox, Card by Bazzill, White Ink Pad

In print
Just a quick post today as I haven't managed to get much done the last couple of days, well nothing worth posting anyway lol. And got to go out to college this evening and an interview tomorrow which I'm really wound up about cos there's been so few of them lately that it's added the pressure, I have to say I hope it cools down a bit by tomorrow afternoon or that the place has good air con lol.
Anyways the reason for the post... I just received my copy of this month's Scrapbook Magazine and here is my layout in print in the Readers Gallery - I'd forgotten it was this issue that it was in cos I sent the layout in ages ago. But how cool - this is the first time that I've had a layout published, can't wait to show the magazine to the family. My Nanna will be over the moon :)
Right had best get on - still in my PJs and not packed my college stuff yet lol XOX

The sun has got his hat on...
hip hip hip horray, the sun has been out all day :) and it has been gorgeous, sat out and read for a little bit this morning and got some washing done too, then once the sun had gone off my room I managed to get a couple of pages done including this one...
I got the photos printed in 5x5 inch format for a change - really like it will definitely be getting more like this. I wanted to keep the focus of the page on the photos so picked some plain-ish papers and just added the title without any extra embellishments, this thinkers help give the page some 3D-ed-ness (hopefully you understand Helen-ish lol) without cluttering up the page. The photos were taken on Mid-Summers Day 2010, at Crosby Beach where we had this gorgeous sunset to end a really lovely summer's day.
Supplies: 'Phoebe' & 'Acid Washed' Papers by Basic Grey, Thickers, Rub-ons by Doodlebug, Yellow and Orange Ink Pads

Biker Chick
Managed to get another page for my Australia scrapbook done (not bad only been back for 4 years!!!!! - but that's REALLY scary that it was that long ago and that I'm still no where near finished lol). The plan was to get loads and loads of crafting done but was knackered and couldn't decide what I wanted to do with anything enough to stick things down. And managed to sit and read outside for a bit too - wish we had sunshine like this all summer just makes me feel happy.
Anyways these are 2 more pictures of the scooter-roo tour in Town of 1770, I'd done the layout for the main page a while ago but just got round to doing this. (I'll try and get a better picture in daylight so not got the flash in the middle of it) I kept the layout simple just added a couple of embellishments and some faux-stitching round the edge to finish the page off - I'll also add a mini license plate next to the title when I find it (just reorganised craft stuff and can't remember where they are lol).

Supplies: Card by Bazzill, Thickers, Paint Marker, Hybrid Elements from Scrapagogo Kit

Love Birds
Been busy doing family tree research at the moment - finally made some headway with some of my lines that I was stuck on, and been getting a bit further along with Ian's family, a bit more of a challenge there cos his family is from wales and I've just started running into some of the common surnames which makes finding the right family a bit of a challenge to say the least lol.
Thought I'd share a card today as it's been a little while since I've had any to post. This was a Wedding acceptance card for some of our friends, I used the stamp from my Scrapagogo kit to paper piece the birds and heart. Then added the ribbon and gems to finish it off.

And a close up of the birds
Supplies - Stamp from Scrapagogo Kit, Papers by My Mind's Eye, Pink Ribbon, Gems, Black Ink Pad, Black Fine Liner

Iron Men
Just realised that I haven't posted in a while - silly exams and revision getting in the way lol - so thought it was about time to get another post on - another scrapbook page this time cos the pictures of the cards that I've done are still on the camera. This page shows the photos from the first time I took Ian to Crosby Beach to meet the Iron Men. I love the way the rusty colour of the statues goes with the colour of the card :)
Supplies: Scrapagogo April 2012 Kit, Brown Ink Pad, White Ink Pad, Thickers
And here's a couple of pictures from the beach yesterday, as you can see it was very windy (and freezing cold), but still got some pretty pictures.
Right that's it from me for now, a load of photos have just arrived so got to sort them and pick out the ones for the wedding mini-album for our friends XOX
