Genuine Fakes

Back with one of my favourite layouts this time - I love it - the papers came free with Scrapbook Magazine and I couldn't wait to use them. I love the bright colours on the white background, I only added the lettering - some felt letters that I'd had for years and years and some thickers left over from another project and a couple of gems. The other embellishments were cut from the elements page that came in the paper pack, I added glossy accents to the buttons and to the flashes and lenses of the cameras and voila...

And a close-up, was trying to show the glossy accents on the lenses and flashes of the cameras but of course it won't show up lol

Supplies: Papers by Nikki Sivils (free with Scrapbook Magazine), 'Jewellery Box' Chipboard Thickers, Felt Letters by Papermania, Gems by Doodlebug, White Card, Black Paint Marker, Glossy Accents

Showing Off Now lol

Back again, good to get back doing challenges - definitely helps get past that rubbishy Scrap-block. Anyways Scrapbook Sisters have a Challenge to Scrap Christmas - I have loads and loads of pictures of Christmas's through the years but they're all packed away in boxes and I'm not allowed near them till I finish my Australia Album (I've set myself the challenge of only being allowed to scrapbook recent photos or Australia photos before I start tackling all the photos from when I was little).

So anyway instead of scrapbooking Christmas Day or the decorations I've chosen to use these pictures of my and my boyfriend enjoying the food at the Christmas Markets in Manchester. Ian had cherry Strudel and Custard and I had a crepe filled with nutella mmmmmmmmmmm now I want pancakes lol.

I sanded the dotty Co-ordinations cardstock and then used the fabric 'paper' so there's different textures, and then used the rub-ons with the thickers to mix up the textures again there.

Supplies : 'Noel' Fabric Paper by Love Elsie, Card Stock by Co-ordinations, Jewellery Box Thickers by American Crafts, 'Magic' Rub-ons by October Afternoon, Snowflake Stickers by K & Ko, White Paint Marker

New Year... New Stash...

Hello, I'm back - doing better this month already than in the last few months - having a craft day today to make up for not having done an awful lot lately (lots of planning and hardly any cutting and sticking lol).

Anyways a change from the cards... Ladybug Crafts Ink's Challenge this week is to Use your new Stash - I thought I was going to have to cheat and use the new old stuff that I found when I had a little tidy up but then I found a bag of stuff that I bought just before Christmas and hadn't even unpacked - naughty I know! So I had some new colours of my favourite pearly paints and some more mini canvases... here is what I came up with...

A set of 3 mini canvases for my wall, they are actually purple, lilac and a very very very pale lilac but the 2 lighter ones look very similar on the pictures, I then decorated them using Purple, Lilac, Clear and Aurora Gems :)

Trying to show the sparkle

I drew the heart by hand (wishing I'd done it last so could have made it the same size as the others but never mind)

I used a stencil for the flower and butterfly to save time otherwise I would probably still be drafting the shapes now....

Supplies: Mini Canvases (these are just over 2 inch Square), Purple Acrylic Paint, Pearly Lilac Acrylic Paint, Pearly Pearl Acrylic Paint, Lots of Gems & Stencils (the butterfly and flower - I think were making memories, the heart I drew by hand)

I would like to enter these in the following challenge...

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge 51 - Use your New Stash (Paints and Canvases)

Hope you like them, off to get a similar canvas done now - trying to decide if should keep the set of 3 or the bigger canvas and the other will be a present... decisions... decisions...

Anyways this is a card that one of my friends requested, I had a bit of a nightmare trying to find a golf stamp that wasn't an old man or old fashioned and eventually managed to track down this Lilyboo Design Digi Stamp. And I love the Say it with a Smirk paper

Really want to just get into bed and pull the blind down and ignore the icky weather lol XOX

Top 5 Scrapbook Pages of 2011

And now for my favourite 5 Scrapbook Pages of last year....

I love this page, I used the same layout as for the card in the last post - this time featuring my valentines flowers from this year :) I love the clean colourful layout

Canvas this time - love been able to get my scrapbooking up on the wall and on show - very messy layout with lots of paint :)

Another of my favourites - one of my favourite photos and some fab red dotty paper - love the way the colours work with the kraft coloured card

Some nice bright colours this time - taken from the colours on the postcard and accented with wooden stars and mini license plates

And finally a nice Christmas layout with photos from when we were little and used to go on the Santa Special in Haworth - love the colours of the October Afternoon paper and the sketch used.

Right on to plan some more pages to get a kickstart on this year's scrapbooking so can have more to choose from at the end of 2012 XOX

Christmas Baking

Oh nearly forgot - have done some baking too - for the first time in over 10 years - they weren't my best I admit but they were still so much nicer than the shop bought ones :)

And what's a mince pie without a little icing-sugar??? lol, unfortunately I can't even say that I did this by accident, I love icing sugar on mincepies - mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Right that really is me...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Uh-oh... The BIG 3-0....

Back again as promised, are you proud of me for not getting distracted in those few mins between posts lol.

Anyways a break from the Christmas cards as one of my friends had a big birthday - yep she turned 30 (obviously when I get there next year it won't be a big birthday - though I think I will be having a 20-10th birthday instead lol. In my head I don't think I've even got to 20 yet lol. Anyways I used the mo manning image perfect for big birthdays with the message inside reading - 'it's no good sulking' lol. I then used the balloon from LCI Magnum Add-ons set and the masking technique to add some balloons to the image. Lots of glitter too - well it is one of my cards lol. The colours were picked by Ian cos Sarah is from Norwich - hope she likes it :)

Supplies: 'Alissa' Paper by Bo Bunny, 'Jill is Two' Stamp by Mo Manning, 'Magnum Add-ons' Stamps by Ladybug Crafts Ink, Sugar-Coating by Doodlebug, Ribbon from Stash, Yellow Ink Pad, Copics, Promarkers, Gems

Ah well I'm sure I'll get it done eventually lol.

And incase I'm not back on here before the big day, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas XOX

Mum - Look Away Now!!!

Anyways have been busy this week been getting my family's Christmas cards finished and have been getting a picture frame done for my room featuring some of my holiday pictures - just can't decide how to 'scrapbook' the 3rd space in the frame .... hmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.... lol. Might have to have a go after I've posted this and written my shopping list for tomorrow.

Anyways onto Christmas cards, and my first challenges in ages so have picked some easy ones lol. Anyways this is my Mum's card off me - I LOVE this image, really is one of my faves cos it's just so typical of me and my brother when we were little, and we've got countless videos and photos to show it - just need to subsitute the snow for the sea (or river or lake) and the sledge for a rubber dingy lol.

I added lots of glitter for the snow and glossy accents for the wellies - I love the glossy wellies my fave bit :)

Busy Busy Busy

Wow time flies doesn't it, can't believe it's Christmas Day this time next week. Not had much time to post cos of exams and then more exams a few weeks later - not good but atleast they're all over with and don't think got anymore till March :) wooop woop.

Anyway did manage to squeeze in abit of Scrapbooking :) yay since still got hundreds of Australia trip pictures to scrap. Anyway this one is a bit of a simple layout - think the photos needed the simple background. They were taken at Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island - never seen water so clear or sand as fine and white, really was stunning. The background is covered with shimmer spray - I then added some blue and clear gemsm and then added some ribbons and a bottle of sand :)

Supplies: Letter Stickers by Doodlebug, Cardstock by Doodlebug, Shimmer Spray, Gems, Ribbon, Mini Bottle

Right that's it from me now, I'll try my best to be back on before Christmas - need to get the Christmas done - been so busy with exams and been ill too :S but atleast all my shopping and most of my wrapping is done :) yay :) can't wait :) so can't wait for Christmas :) XOX
